Since Khan was ko'ed by prescott, I have taken a certain liking to him. A move to LA at the wildcard and Roach, and a good attitude and seeing his determination has made me like him a lot more. I am a newbie on here but have kept an eye on this site for months, just wanted to know what the forums opinion of khan is now? It looks like Salita is the next opponent for khan which is good because he was the mandatory so its not like khan is ducking his mandatory as was previously suggested.

Is khan going somewhere in the boxing world? please discuss with constructive arguments, plz no "glass jaw fraud" crap

the hate will be thick in here of course...but for all the glass chin **** and hatred towrds amir I think the TS is correct...he bounced back and worked even harder and has proven to be a skilled tough fighter...he got caught by a huge puncher, it happens...i think Amir could very well be the future and one of britains greats

Yepp ill agree with pauliemayweather there i think that Khan could be a real force with the right guidence, and hes got it now with roach,

He did get caught by a huge puncher and paid the price for it too but hes shown tremendous heart especially by taking on barrera in only his second fight after that crushing defeat, now hes a world champion 3 fights after people wrote him off,

Hes got great skills, decent power, and a brilliant trainer i think hes going places, this thread will attract a lot of hate, Khan, Hatton, Haye threads tend to but the fact of the matter is Khans good and he could become great

He's done really well since the Prescott disaster, and Roach seems to have instilled some good habits in his game. Even if he gets a wiff of danger, he'll have his hands up and move away. I personally think he'll overcome Salita with ease, however......

....I get the sense that against a more aggressive and powerful opponent (Maidana and Ortiz), Khan may fold under such assaults. In the Kotelnik fight I kept noticing how he'd hunch and cover up (blinding himself) whenever Kotelnik put serious pressure on him. He needs to improve on his ring generalship, and learn how to fight effectively on the back foot.

He's only 22 at the moment, and I'm sure Roach will need more time with him. But at the moment, he still needs to be handled with care.

Khan has got to be one of the most boring fighters ever, Roach has improved his defence but made him a cure for insomnia. Not good.

We've only seen him in one decent fight under Roach....

    1. ***an..... blows him away in too in just a confidence builder (doesn't count)
    2. Barrera.... Only 5 rounds of action against a one eyed Barrera (again doesn't count)

and finally 3. Kotelnik.... a guy who Maidana couldn't even stop, and a guy who lets be honest isn't the most exciting fighter himself. He's an awkward boxer who'll be content in winning 12 rounds, and make a boring fight against anyone.

So with just one decent fight under Roach, we have to give Khan time learn under him, before he is comfortable and skilled enough to plant his feet and throw his power shots.

Any fighter who learns from a defeat can only get better,I like Khan he has tremendous speed and accuracy and whether he stays at 140 or maybe moves he is within reach of the most exciting divisions/fighters today

It's only a matter of time so don't worry about it too much. Personally I'd love to see him in with Maidana or Valero just for the hell of it.

For someone who is only 22 a world champion and with speed he has I think bigger and better things wait for him in the future. He is a very talanted fighter and I do think his chin will improve because he is very young and doesnt have the manly strength yet and I think 140 lb suits him better also.
