So much hate towards the kid but I really dont understand why. In every interview I've seen and read (quite a few) he doesnt come across as overly arrogant or a bad person. Ok so he got KOed, so what? He wasnt the first and he wont be the last. He's young, got good skills, lives clean and trains hard - hope he does well
He's got a lot of potentials. He's young, hungry and has the right trainer. If he continues to improve, he can be up there w/ the big boys in the near future.
:huh If the more defensive-minded but still busy, blazing fast, combination-punching Khan is "one of the most boring fighters ever", what about the 40% of boxers who fit in one of the following categories: safety-first, hit'n'hug, pot-shot, killing action, counter-punch only etc. etc...
Did you avtually watch the Kotelnik fight? It was horrendous. Defensive fighters are fine. Khan isn't.
It was an okay fight, but you shouldn't expect FOTY stuff when counter-punchers fight. Believe me, any fighter who comes out aggressive vs. Khan makes a potentially very exciting fight. Kotelnik just wasn't the type.
