Since Mosley is Busy....What's Next For Andre Berto?

exactly, that would be incredible for the Mayweather undercard but NO he's got that pretty green strap and he thinks that warrants him an 8 figure payday. smh:-(

he just got a title and is cheaper than Mosley ...

that would set up a big fight for next year ... in an attempt to be the unified #1 contender in the welterweight division. (IBF,WBA,WBC) .... if Berto can pull that off by next year, then that would set up for a big fight against the winner of Floyd vs Pac.

Hopefully a live body and not a fringe contender or junior welterweight for once. He has been nothing but a disappointment since winning Floyd's disgarded belt. He's one of the worst "champion"'s in boxing, and this is coming from someone who used to be a fan.

 

Is he american? Didn't he fight 4 Haiti in the olympics?

 

anyways, he should step up to the plate and give Collazo the WBC mandated rematch... We'll see where he's currently standing after that... hopefully not another hugfest like Urango's fight!!

Their were talks of Berto fighting Aydin in Turkey where they could potentially fight in front of a sold out soccer stadium. Since then Berto has apparently lost out on his Dec. 5 HBO date and has also reportedly shown reluctance in fighting on the Dec. 26th. Perhaps talks between him and Aydin may resurface but I wouldn't doubt that Berto may just elect to sit out the remainder of the year and challenge the Mosley-Clottey winner in early 2010 when HBO's next year's budget becomes available.
