Many people, including myself, gave Pacquiao 10 rounds in that fight easily. It probably wasn't as clear and one-sided of a domination like Mayweather-Marquez but yes it was one-sided for Pacquiao.

No. There were a lot of close rounds, in which you and some others chose to give the majority of benefit of the doubt to Pacquiao, while some of us saw reasons that Bradley deserved some of them.

There were no close rounds in Mayweather vs. Marquez, whatsoever.

Let me guess, you scored Jim Lampley's "smoking gun" round to Pac, huh? (even though when they replayed it on The Fight Game without the commentary audio track, many of those who had been crying robbery said "Oh...that was actually much closer than it seemed live... :blood" and it was in fact a round you could very easily - and should, using the proper criteria - give to Bradley...)


Name one round in Mayweather vs. Marquez even remotely as close. One tenth as close.

 

Again. You try and state a fact when it clearly isn't one. Who you regard as smart and boxing savvy may not actually be so. Just look at the fightcollector's round up and see how many people had it wider than you for Pacquiao.

I didn't say I was stating a fact, did I? You shouldn't need a roadmap to know when someone is expressing an opinion. If you don't like my opinion, fine.

I don't get where exactly you're getting the impression that anything I say is automatically framed as though purporting to be factual.

I can deem something to be true, when discussing an intrinsically subjective topic, without being assumed to be claiming a fact. I can say "Pink Floyd is a superior musical group to Insane Clown Posse" and while it seems pretty obviously true you wouldn't accuse me of passing it off as proven fact, since technically it can't be. It's a matter of taste and common sense, which, applied by those (IMO) possessing the largest quantities of them on this board, led togenerally closer scorecards, though still unanimously close-but-clear for Pacquiao.

Sure, there are lots of dissenters insisting that it was actually wide. There are plenty of "juggalos" out there as well, and they would probably jeer at the suggestion that Pink Floyd is a pimple on their heroes' very pimply asses.

Usually i would take someones opinion as being a subjective view on events. But when you write it doesn't seem as if you actually take that into account.

It would be clearer if you put a qualifying statement in front of your paragraph such as 'in my opinion'. Otherwise you just seem arrogant and rooted in your opinion.

 

It's my problem you don't understand the way the figure of speech "in fact" is used. OK.

 

It's my problem you need extra guidance to make up for your lack of intuitive common sense. OK.
