Since Pulev struggled past Thompson, I've never seen his name mentioned again!!

I think the author of this moronic thread has now seen that the Pulev fan base is strong and alive. I agree with many of the posters here and would like to make a summary:

    1. TT is a TOP HW and Pulev beat him. Pulev could have knocked TT out but he wanted to play safe - TT is dangerous at any moment. TT still annihilate most of the TOP HWs out there and this speaks volumes for Pulev.

    2. Pulev is not UK or US fighter. If you think he is not talked about come to Bulgaria - he is a national hero and every person on the street would know who Pulev is and what he does. Do the same in US for Wilder and you would find out that no one knows who he is. It is normal for people to support fighters from their own countries and big countries are naturally creating more fuss around their fighters since a lot more people are involved...

    3. Pulev is a professional, he is not interested in bragging around. The man is motivated to create history for his country and he is due respect for that.

    4. Whatever reason you can come up with for him not being spectacular or active outside the ring, take a look at his girlfriend and you may get an idea why he is too busy to brag around like Fury or Haye for example.

    5. If you see Povetkin pulling off the upset in his match with Wlad, rest assure that shortly after that you can see Pulev as a world champ and his fan-base would explode as you have never seen it before.

May I remind you, you were the one saying "overweight 41 year old Thompson coming 4 weeks off his 2nd fight with Price" in attempt to bash Pulev, having people currently not talking about him as your only argument.

People were talking about Pulev only prior to the Thompson fight, you make it out like Pulev was daily discussed for a year or something, which is far from true.

Once his next fight gets announced, he will be discussed again until it happens. As for those who follow his career, he's regularly discussed on Euro boxing forum.

I honestly have no idea what you are talking about. I haven't seen any general change in attitudes towards Pulev, he did what he was supposed to do and got a routine win. I wonder why your attitude has not changed towards a more positive one, since you were predicting him to lose by KO/TKO and he never was in any sort of trouble in this fight?

The huge majority of the threads about Pulev have been started before or after fights(or when direct news articles about potential fights being aranged appeared - i.e. Adamek, Fury, Jennings, Chagaev). I can honestly say I haven't seen many threads of the sort I was talking about - that is, threads with no real point but to hype up the guy. I don't think anything has changed. Only fools are expecting Pulev to be dominant even in a post-Klitchko era, and only fools are expecting him to "get exposed" by guys that have been drowning in mediocrity thus far. Pulev is the sort of fighter that won't look extraordinary against anybody and at the same time won't get trashed by anybody(maybe barring Wlad).
