DREAM's dead. So it doesn't matter. Aoki's out of a job thats real. Unless he comes to the UFC or via SF currently.
CroCop thinks that the SF buy would decrease fighter pay overall. Guys not popular in America or who cant speak great english (unless they are South America) wont even have a second look. Welcome to WWE style MMA guys.
If he ever comes to the UFC he'll be a nobody. Shame as he has awesome BJJ but thats pretty much where it ends. Im not sure if he'll go DEEP as they were seen as his rival.
Dana specifically stated that the UFC would not co-promote, even with StrikeForce. Dana also repeatedly said that each organization would be doing "business as usual." StrikeForce may still be able to work with Dream. I haven't seen it said that they couldn't, but I honestly haven't looked into it.
I wouldn't pay much attention to Dana's word. SF will run long enough until most of the contracts have expired. As for working with DREAM i doubt it. DREAM is dead.
They already said on Monday they would do Dream Fights as they come up. Rumours going about that Shane Carwin may find his way into the Grand Prix.
I think those rumours are bull****. As apparently some are saying he's going to replace Josh Barnett. Why would Josh leave the tournament when he's one of the favourites to win it and its a pay day for him?
Because the UFC fires him for not being sanctioned? I mean all it'd take is a word in the ear to Texas about how they don't actually want this fight cleared.
His contract is with SF though not the UFC currently. Right now legally Dana cannot touch any contract to my knowledge.
business as usual is to cool the backlash. implementing unified rules is a MAJOR change. also, the ufc never did business as usual for pride or wec acquisition. business as usual line will only last so long.
