When a fighter makes it look too easy, comes off as arrogant, and isnt an Arturo Gatti or Little Red Lopez type....often times fans gain a pure disdain for the guy. Fighters like Ali, Leonard, and soon to be Jones never got the credit they deserved until they lost or after they retire, the same will happen to Floyd. I never seen a guy win so much, have so many skills get bashed discredited as Mayweather does since Roy Jones was the man,

As of yesterday I think David Haye has become the most hated on ESB.

Can you explain why so many Floyd fans care what anyone on ESB thinks about Floyd. if you know he is skilled then thats all that matters. But instead, there are threads about this same topic "Floyd is the most hated" "why the double standards" like if you are all hired PR reps working for Floyd.

all bull****. all those you mentioned got all the p4p respect they deserved. they also had the same few fans that constantly complained because not everyone was as enamoured of them as they were.

Leonard was regarded as a pretty boy and media creation until he lost to Duran and didnt get much respect til he beat Duran, also I remember when I was a kid all mu uncles would say he hand picked guys.....Everyone hated Ali until he beat Foreman...Jones didnt get his respect til Tarver starched him....Boxing fans dont like those cocky types.

No. Floyd Mayweather does 1 mil buys a fight. If anything he's one of the most liked famous fighters in the sport.

Its just that his detractors are hella hateful and loud with their rantings. But he's not that hated.

It's should be the guys who cheat and discredits boxing who get the hate, but many people think Floyd should challenge himself and I agree he should, but the only reason he have so many guys on his case like ra the rugged man, is that they don't like a guy who is on top and arrogant, overconfident etc. The irony is that Floyd is not the worst guy for the sport there are plenty other boxers who goes where the money is, but they act nice and have a loss on their record so they don't get all the hate like Floyd. I voted yes.
