I saw in another thread someone said something like "Hearns could whip Pac nad Floyd on the same night"

That may seem like a bit of a stretch, but my Hearnstardness has me thinking that he could perhaps whip some decent-level guys all in the same night.

    Perhaps

    Pac in 4
    Hatton in 2
    Cotto in 5
    Quintana in 1

    or

    Floyd in 6
    Zab in 2
    Quintana in 1
    Berto in 3

What y'all think? Am I just being overly nostalgic, or does Heanrs have a style that would just be impossible for these guys to survive more than a couple of rounds apiece?

hearns is floyd's worst nightmare. one of a very select few i give him practically zero chance of beating, just a horrible style matchup for him. but i can see floyd going into pure survival mode after tasting what tommy has in that right hand and surviving the distance.

an out of sorts foreman sparked out 5 guys in one night in toronto, not of the quality you're discussing. one that journeyman level i'm sure a deadly precision puncher like tommy could rack them up.

He could take Petey 6 or 7 times in one round. Does that count? :D

I don't know **** about the history of the sport. I don't go back that far and have only been a hardcore fan for about 5 years, but I do know this much: When I see footage of Tommy Hearns I think "**** this guy was bloody good". I'm amazed by how natural he made it look. That's what he was. That's some rare, rare talent. I know the only way he could've got that talent is if he was a boxer in his previous lives also.

Now I'm obviously a huge ******* and he's my ATG favourite fighter. Floyd is also one of the best I've ever seen. However, when I look at Hearns I think that he would've beaten both of them or any other welterweight, or anyone up to middleweight for that matter. They all would've got whooped IMO. He does it easy.

I think he would do well through the 1st 8 but you cant let the towns power broker sneak Leonard into your basement the night before the deadline and you have to have an ace up your sleeve with the guy at the local prison.

Actually you know what, I can't be saying stuff like that about Pac. Hell no. Pac would get beat by Hearns but those other guys would get spanked. Pac would put up a good fight. Williams, Margo, Floydy, Cotto, etc get spanked. Pac gets beat but not that badly. Now I feel better. ****.:patsch
