Since when did it become an outrageous demand to ask for tough drug testing???

    :good Exactly.

The, "Waaah! It's up to the state commissions!" point just shows how ****-weak the counter-argument to stricter testing is.

The whole point of trying to get olympic-style testing involved is that the state commission testing is not good enough. If someone thinks, "It's up to the commissions" is a valid response to that criticism it demonstrates either the depths of their idiocy or a complete lack of desire to have a clean sport.

Do you think an Olympic-style random blood testing will catch the cheats? Can you tell us how many were caught cheating by Olympic-style random blood testing?

There are certain types of PED's that can't be detected through urine and only through blood, whether people have been caught using them before or not is irrelevant, they exist and the actual test should be enough of a deterrent.

I don't understand why you clowns even think this is a valid argument, although I hear it all the time.

Firstly, a lot of olympic athletes have been caught with olympic-style testing, as have a fair few cyclists. Secondly, Nevada State Commission doesn't even test for varieties of EPO and HGH and Texas doesn't test at all unless they're effectively forced into it.

The argument that a certain testing protocol is beatable isn't a valid argument against it being adopted. The point is that it's vastly less beatable and much harder to get around than the systems that are being used at the moment.

If someone passes the current olympic testing protocols, you can be reasonably sure that either they're clean or that they're on some drug / regimen that hasn't been fully sussed-out by the USADA. At the very least it shows that they're confident enough in their ability to pass the tests to put themselves in the line of fire. If someone passes the athletic commission tests, it doesn't tell you any such thing, as their testing protocols are either very weak or nonexistent.

Your argument is equivalent to saying, "I can't protect my home from the most skilled cat burglars on the planet, so I may as well leave all my doors and windows wide open".

Why would you think that this isn't a good thing in a sport where the entire point is to punch another human in the head? Loading gloves is a big ****ing no-no, but loading your fists in another way isn't?
