I was raised up on the big 3: WBA, WBC and IBF....i do not recognize the WBO, or the IBO

I believe Tommy Morrison and Herbie Hide were even champions of the WBO at one point

IBO? never, who says it is other then AJ? the WBO? thats more a mid 2000s thing if I recall correctly. They seem less corrupt (keyword less) then the WBC and WBA which helps them a bit.

The WBO has been "respected" for quite a while TBH.
As for the IBO, *giggles incessantly"

WBO = around the turn of the century
IBO = maybe around the turn of next century

When Christopher Livingstone Eubank Jr. became a 2-time IBO world champion he cemented IBO's status as the most prestigious belt in boxing.

WBO became one of the major 4 around the start of Wlad klitschkos reign.

Wbo wasn’t really all that respected in the lewis/tyson/Holyfield era

They just wanted wbc, IBF and wba

Left the likes of Herbie hide and tommy Morrison to squabble over it

Some very good champions held the WBO only (at least for a time) and been respected worlds champs and it was that title that made De la Hoya a world middle weight champ

The WBO began to gain recognition 2004-2005, when other bodies began to accept unifications with them as valid. Bodies of work before this time are considered invalid, but after that date, valid.

Before 2004-2005 it was on par with the eurotitle.

The IBO, never has been. With luckit never will.

Hamed made the WBO into something. It was fully accepted when big three allowed unifications with it instead of stripping their titlists.

The WBA is on its way to becoming a joke right now. The WBO is better than that belt.

The WBO was the only title Terrence Crawford held at light weight, and I class him as a former light weight world champ
