Frazier against Ali in their first fight, never seen a more determined effort from a fighter as Frazier displayed in that fight. He was really on that night rose to the occasion. Same could be said about Ali it was a great fight... That fight comes to mind though other performances I thought up include
    Ali- Williams
    Ali- Foreman
    Ali- Liston
    Jones- Toney
    Toney- Charles Williams
    Toney- Tim Littles
    Hopkins- Trinidad
    Douglas- Tyson

Calzaghe V Lacy. Joe was sublime, regardless of how Lacys career panned out afterwards.

    Douglas V Tyson.

My personal favourite is Duran V Leonard 1.

Good shout on Toney vs Jirov. I probably watch that fight once a month or so. Both guys were awesome but James stepped when it really mattered.

Where do you guys rank Chavez-Camacho in this discussion? JCC walked down Camacho as he was nothing. Camacho was past his prime, though.

I'll go with the ones who excelled against elite opposition:

Sanchez vs Gomez (Sanchez vs Lopez is borderline)

    Kalambay vs McCallum

    Douglas vs Tyson

    Pea vs Chavez

    RJJ vs Toney

    Pac vs Barrera

    PBF vs Corrales

    Rigo vs Donaire

    Loma vs Walters

An incredible display of guts by Camacho....I was just as much impressed by his stoic resolve in taking this beating...and showing that he was indeed a tough guy, as I was with Chavez for dishing it out.

Calzaghe vs Lacey was a faultless performance. Most of the American experts had Lacey as some sort of mini-Tyson wrecking machine who'd walk through Calzaghe. He got absolutely dismantled.

Buchanan in the second IL fight, masterful, clever, outboxing and outspeeding a fighter well known for both of those
and finishing with a knockdown and some power.
