I remember watching that fight,on Monday night at the fights,I think from Madison Sqare Garden.I still remember Green on the floor and the look on his face,he might as well been reciting poetry to the butterflies.Never seen that fight since, helluva shot by Floyd.
Amazing job guys, good stuff. Thanks and keep them coming. Gatti/Dorin shocks me to this day. Dorin was a world class, overlooked guy. He had supposedly lost his desire for the game, typical to Kosta Tzysu, I believe he was set on spending more time with his family and settling down. Don't know, you need to train like a madman to employ the kind of style he had.
Bob Fitzsimmons did horrible things to fighters with body shots, even when they didn't stop them. Gus Ruhlin was not knocked out by a body shot, but he was taken out of the fight by one in the second round. After the fight, he said that he had trouble breathing for days.
Whoever posted Trinadad vs Barnes thank you.I really admire Barnes for the gallant effort he put up-outgunned but he was still trying till the end-thats all you can ever ask from a pro.
I didn't notice it at first as I didn't put the volume loud enough, but you can hear that last shot land. Tito also stopped Pineda & Pendleton with bodyshots.
Anybody else shocked to see Ward dancing and circling against Sanchez. It's like they were experimenting with making him an outside boxer. That literally went on for six rounds. And it was like in the 7th, after taking the knockdown, he said screw that and went back to infighting, where it took approximately half a round to KO the guy.
Great clips. I remember the Roy Jones vs Virgil Hill fight. You can tell Hill was in excruciating pain. Body punches are something else.
