Sirichai Thaiyen "Yodmongkol CP Freshmart" announced his retirement

    A great career for the Thai veteran who retired at 33 years old with a professional record 65 fights (43 KOs) for 5 defeats.

    In his 14-year professional boxing career, Sirichai Thaiyen "Yodmongkol CP Freshmart" has never shied away from a big fight.


    Boxrec last ranking : 133th in the world in Bantamweight, number 8 in Thailand in Bantamweight.


    He has beaten some big names in his career, including Wittawas Basapean "Samartlek Kokietgym" a former two-time world challenger in Light Flyweight, He also beat Japan's Takuya Kogawa also a former WBC world challenger in Flyweight , the only person to have always beaten several times Jack Amisa (rest in peace) before the limit, and he beat Koki Eto former WBC Super Flyweight challenger and WBA Interim World champion in Flyweight division, he also have a win against Karoon Jarupianlerd "Petchbarngborn Kokietgym" former WBO world challenger in Super Flyweight....


    The main belts he won during his career : WBA Interim World Champion in Flyweight (2013-2014), WBC Youth World Light Flyweight Champion (2010-2013), PABA Flyweight (2015-2017), ABF Super Flyweight (2022), OPBF Silver Super Flyweight (2019).


    Sirichai Thaiyen was two times world challenger : he lost against Juan Carlos Reveco by TKO round 5 in 2014, and lost against the ukrainian Artem Delakian by TKO round 8 in 2018.





    His retirement words :

    Are professional boxers in Thailand ever looked down on for not competing in their national sport of Muay Thai?

    The majority of them come from Muay Thai but with the One Championship now which pays with high salary very well most of them no longer think about moving into boxing.
