Great fight. I havent seen a Monshipour fight that isnt a good fight,the guy brings it every single time.
Its in my top 5 atg fights in terms of action. Those two styles were absolutely made for each other that night. I didnt understand a word of what the commentator was saying but he sounded so perfectly dramatic. Both fighters went downhill in their careers after this fight, I cant blame it after all the damage they both took.
This fight almost defies belief. Non-stop power-punching from start to finish. Both guys put themselves through hell and I'm just glad we live in the age of Youtube etc, so this fight wasn't lost on us.
The ending is just spectacular. I thought Monshipour was going to finish him and suddenly he comes on with nothing left in the tank to stop him.
Best fight of the decade , along with barrera-morales , only ppl that havent seen this fight can claim castillo-corrales is nr 1 of 00's,M vs S is clearly the better fight with much more action and arguably more drama , if it was 2 american or mexican guys fighting on hbo the fight would be called the best of all time or atleast one of the few best , 2bad like 2/3 of boxing community havent even seen it.
Great fight. Only thing is, I felt almost a bit sick in the end. I kept thinking "that French dude's never gonna be the same again." and was kinda worried for his health in the coming years.
I haven't seen this fight, is it as good as people claim? I was of the belief that castillo corrales was the best fight of the decade, infact this fight has just passed me by!
