This. Alot of haters hide behind the Trout fight. Canelo threw wide shots to close distance catching Trout in the chest everytime. Canelo was there to box with Trout, he adapted to what Trout was doing.

Canelo will definitely put leather on Mayweather.

A common-sense lesson that you will encounter in later life is that not all adults talk in precise figures all day, everyday. They often talk in broad strokes (that was an 'analogy'). In other words, when someone says, "twice (2.0) as much", 1.8x as much will usually suffice.

And I won't take a "lifetime esb ban bet" with you because I don't have a mental age of a pre-pubescent boy, and the female hormones of a pubescent girl. That has nothing to do with Canelo.

Alvarez is a very good fighter, but still very young. He is much better than given credit for though. If he uses the right strategy, he can win, but nobody will know until the fight ends. He will do much better than most think.

Seriously, what is with the life-time ban BS anyway? It's just about the dumbest thing I have ever encountered on a forum, and I have only seen it here... Utterly ridiculous...:verysad

    1.8?

    385 to 450?

try a 20 percent difference(1.6) as oppposed to 10 percent(1.8x); double your "usually suffice" theory. and since you cant do simple math 10 percent is half of 20 percent. are you half off on your calculations or projections at whatever job that you may possess?

if you would have done your research before opening your mouth you wouldve known that there is no way that floyd would only throw half of what trout did because floyd generally throws 450+(i used 450 because i am sure that mayweather will surpass this so if some douchebag called me out i would have no problem accepting a bet unlike you hiding behind some ludicrous "broad stroke" theory) in a fight(476 guerrero/687 cotto/477 mosley).

and thats why a guy like me makes a post statiing facts that canelo will only land 120 punches to floyds 200+ punches becasue i dont talk out of my ass because some guy put his shoe in my mouth.

seriously, "pre-pubescent boy," and "female hormaones of a pubesecent girl" is all that you can come up with?

    this is a boxing forum.

    not a family health forum.

I saw all those wiiide hooks that missed badly and was thinking to myself, where is the always mentioned great canelo accuracy? because trout was right there

Not a single canelo fan has acknowledge all those wild wide right hands, as if it never happened

I don't know how people can criticize floyd for being boring when canelo stands around for one minute, plants his feet, throws a few punches and does nothing for one more minute. mesmerizing stuff right there

I keep hearing about his "fan friendly style" but maybe it's his fan friendly APPEARANCE..

If Alvarez looked like Angulo or the average mestizo he'd be fighting on Telemundo.:deal

Canelo's tactic was to give Trout pneumonia from the breeze off all those wild haymakers.

Canelo is definitely doing things differently. He seems to be preparing well.
Seems lighter and more fluid. Ya'll ain't seen him with the weighted vest?

Come Sept 14 expect to see a different Canelo Alvarez.

Trout Vs Canelo was a very close fight...

Floyd watch it for sure... and knew he could beat Canelo.

Canelo has to really bring his A+ game and fight the best fight of his life to beat Mayweather

I see Canelo putting up a spirited effort but Floyd will win a wide UD.

My take on the Trout fight was that Trout fought smaller than what he is and his jab was lazy as ****. The open scoring made the fight a farce anyways. I also agree with Canelo not really cashing out, but Oscar going for the money now because while we are talking about Floyd and where to do after this, where does Canelo go after this fight. Who is a realistic fight for him? If he goes up, he starts to get wrecked by hard hitting people that he's not outweighing by 20 pounds on fight night. Canelo will become gunshy after getting hit so much cleanly.

anyone thats been following boxing for more than three or four years knows that canelos career as a fighter will be very short(he will be lucky to be a contender in three more years).

his heavy bone structure is his downfall because if he could make 147 he would be very successful.

at 154 he is just another fighter with shortcomings that cannot be resolved(height, stamina and lack of one-punch power).

his abnormally short legs; he will never have good mobility.
