Unce. Who you got? The curious jab and thudding right of Escobar or the sometime gentleman stylings of Jeff Chandler? 118lbs. Remember it's 118lbs.
Hard to say for sure with not having that much footage of Sixto available, and that what we have being a losing effort, albeit against an excellent fighter in Jeffra and one that he avenged. He was probably greater than Chandler imo despite his patchier record and beat better fighters with a wider range of styles including guys like Jeffra, Sanstol, Salica, Archibald, Casanova, KO Morgan, Marino etc. Would Jeff be the best guy he faced though, is the thing (?). I could envision them at least splitting a series, ala Jeffra and Salica. Escobar would've been the best that Chandler faced though and you'd think that he would probably force Chandler into exchanges and prevent him from using his height and mobility, though Jeff was no shrinking violet at mid to close range either. If he'd had beaten Pintor it might be easier to pick him with more confidence, I dunno. Not to say he couldn't do it, he was very well-rounded and an excellent fighter at his best without any real weaknesses. Instinct is making me lean toward Escobar overall but it's not a confident pick at all.
In the ATG stakes I have Escobar ahead, yeah - barely and arguably. Very difficult to pick like you said, thanks for the post, let's see if anyone else is brave enough to make a pick.
I like Chandler in this fight he was a good boxing prodigy when he was at peak I am not sure he even had an amateur fight...
Hard to call but physically Chandler looks like he has height and reach advantage and knew how to use it. I think he had the tools to outpoint Escobar.
