Old fat Foreman is better than the young beast that brutalised Joe Frazier. That is possibly the most ridiculous statement I have read on this forum.

I guess it was the medical science. .... and finding his maker.....bread maker that is.

Ok small brain let me educate you

It's the consensus on esb that Fury won either 11 or 12 rounds against wlad I have him winning all 12 either way it's not a close fight at all

It's your opinion that wlad fought in a weak era but in reality wlad fought in a better era then Ali as the 60's was devoid of talent and the 70's are vastly overrated sports science has proved that athletes get better every generation not worse so you are basing your statement on nostalgia not facts

Ali was definately a powder puff puncher and his ko of foreman was due to tiredness and heat exhaustion rather then Ali's pathetic punches Foreman was conscious the entire time and some argue he was up at the count of 9

I'd agree you are wasting you're time because you just keep making yourself look stupid debating with me you can't win this Fury would beat Ali and so would both k-bros it's a fact

Wlad couldn't even beat Ross Purity, what has you so convinced he could beat Ali?

Also Foreman returning 20 years after being champion to reclaim his crown proved that evolution in boxing is grossly over rated.

You have been here a long time so you know in hypothetical match ups we use the prime version of each fighter so we won't be using the puritty version of wlad

Foreman beat one of the worst champions of the 90's and many people consider it to have been a fix

Which version of Wlad would you prefer using? Which fight did he have which convinced you he would beat Ali?

He beat the undefeated champion of the world. Many people consider many fights a fix.

Size was a heavyweight disadvantage back in the day because the necessary functional weight advantage just could not be successfully acheived in boxing. Rule and equipment changes, Sports science, specialised diet and training came together much later. It was never achievable before.

There is a lot of talk, so much so that people actually believe it, that talented or more athletic big men came into boxing. They just "came". All on their own. It had nothing at all to do with all the new changes. Really?

A big guy was just a big target for many many years. Very few 230lb plus men were worth anything. So "size and sports science vs the golden era" is almost irrelevant because you can't have both. With size and sports science there is no Golden Era. Without size and Sports science you get a Golden era.

We can't know what is better because we never had both at the same time. It was never possible for aspects of size and sports science to exist together with fighters from a so called a Golden era.

I know one thing. Most people would agree if you took the size and sports science away the fighters that benefited from it those guys would stand absolutely no chance against a Golden era.

Beating Haye is an interesting yardstick to use for beating Ali.

The Ali that beat Terrell terrorises Wlad.

You can only beat Wlad if you're stronger than his or fast enough to get beyond his reach, Ali has the speed to do the latter.

Let a big man lean and clinch excessively and you'll struggle to beat him.

Punish clinching and force him to fight on the inside and we'll see better quality fights.

I'd say Ali's speed is overrated haye and wlad are both quicker then him

In the 60's the shutter speed cameras make Ali look faster then he was and in the 70's he wasn't that fast

Ali dosen't have the punch power to terrorise wlad and wlad is far superior to Terrell

Haye and Wlad are no where near as quick as Ali. Absolute nonsense based on a nothing assumption about camera assistance.

Everyone has the punch power to terrorise Wlad, it's about whether or not they can land it.

I didn't think you cared about superiority when you used Haye as a comparison for Ali.

David Haye was a Bruce Seldon type guy. Jesse Fergusson was better than Haye.

When David Haye is your career defining fight and you almost get sparked in the 12th , then something is seriously lacking.

Ali makes Wlad look like a guy trying to catch butterflies in a jar.

    Nostalgia?

Yeah that's right, a white English man is nostalgic about a black American who fought before I was born.

You hit the nail on the head there.

Haye is strange to judge. He had a lot of athletic ability but it seems his injuries and lack of risk taking will leave him with a less than stellar reputation.

I doubt his comeback is even real tbh.
