Maybe it was just the suits they were wearing, but Ortiz looked to be, substantially, the bigger man. Props to Floyd for taking on the young lion after feasting on older (but still credible) opponents. This definitely qualifies as the next best thing to PAC or Martinez. If he can finish with Ortiz, PAC, Martinez, that's a helluva finish. Then all legacy questions can be put to bed and everyone can go the f*ck to sleep.
If Floyd beats those 3 Ill be a ***** for life. If he really did mean 10 more fights which I really doubt then Im sure he will be fighting at 154 soon. And then we can get another megafight.
Floyd is favored to beat Ortiz and Pacquaio. The only fighter he is not favored to beat is Sergio, so if Floyd does step up and beat him, he should be recognized as an ATG.
It was as expected. Ortiz was always obviously bigger than Floyd. A look at the physical statistics would tell you that. Ortiz has decent range and he should be able to make it interesting for a few rounds.
Floyd won't even fight a midget in Pac, what makes you guys think he'd fight Sergio? Once he embarrasses Ortiz, he'll come back 12-18 months later and beat Khan if he [Khan] manages to continue his win-streak.
I actually believe pac would be the fight after ortiz, they both are southpaws, and pac would be the money fight.
If May fights Ortiz, Pac and Martinez, then yes his legacy is intact, win lose or draw. But to this date his legacy is ducking, he needs to face these guys to go down as a top ATG... Unfortunately I don't think he will...
