How about you just refute what i said about Canelo and a reason why he is legit? can't be his paper thin resume, only Nathan Cleverly has a worse resume as a champion.

Well, if I accept your suggestion about Canelo, you should still be able to produce a few names that have better resume than him and are, therefore, better opponents for Mayweather.

Ok a better fight? Khan, he isn't involved in boring fights, he has assets Floyd avoids, yes his IQ is low, he has a terrible chin and would lose, but he would do more than Canelo.

Even Trout would have been better, theres a few at 154, then you have Mattyse, garcia, Alexander.

I don't need to mention the obvious one, but I assume people who aren't tied down to a fight.

I do accept, PPV wise, only Pac makes more than this, and marketing wise, money it will be huge.

Haha I just heard Rudys made a POF account of me to try pick up men, I don't blame him for not using his own pic but what will happen when they want to meet? what a crackpot.

Do you seriously, honestly consider Khan and Trout as fighters with superior resume than Canelo?

Khan has barely managed to restart his career and if Floyd chose him, I'd be the first one to call it a cherry pick. Trout vs. Canelo was generally regarded as a fight for the LMW supremacy and Canelo won. There are no favourites at 154 to beat these two and I don't see anyone with the resume that would suggest they are more suited for Floyd.

Even if I agree that a speedy smaller fighter would pose greater danger to Floyd than a bigger fella like ginger, it would still be foolish to discredit a fight between 147 and 154 champion as illlegitimate. Mayweather chose the right opponent this time, it doesn't always go this way with him, but as a boxing fan, I can't have any complains this time.

For guys at 140, I'll just wait to see how Matthysse vs Garcia unfolds, the winner of this fight will be regarded as LW champ and should be the next in line for Floyd.

Trouts best win is better than canelo's, Khans top wins are better than anything canelo has. I like many ppl think Trout won.

I'm not saying Khan is ideal, or Trout, I am saying they would be better fights for fans to watch.

Canelo is very unproven on the world stage yet he is going up against the 2nd best boxer of his generation. Canelo is also very limited and naive.

    Canelo's best win IS Trout.

    Which many think he lost.

Boxing has politics, Canelo couldn't lose a decision, especially when they knew he would be facing Mayweather down the line, the gates, publicity, money was too much, I believe Trout won, many ppl do. Canelo hasn't earned a shot that's for sure.

Well, it's a lose-lose position for Mayweather, if we look from your position. You could just as easily argue that Khan and Trout aren't proven on the world stage. If he chose Khan, this board would go into meltdown, and a fight with Trout would be regarded as cowardice, because Floyd chose the second best guy which "most" people saw losing against Canelo.

Sometimes, there are too many haters and too little fans in boxing. I think Mayweather chose the best guy possible considering the circumstances, but no matter who he fights, haters will claim he ducked someone else.

It's an uninteresting fioght, canelo is a dwarf, he is very heavy footed, he doesnt have much speed, power not great, poor stamina and he lacks experience.

From Mayweathers perspective it's perfect, huge PPV, money and no risk, a guy he can pot shot and make look sluggish and bad.

I won't say much about Mayweathers fighting him as it's smart very smart. It's the hype surrounding it, fans even casual fans should see this is a mismatch. I honestly see it no better than Robert Guerrero.

Floyd Mayweather Sr, in a post-fight interview, said that Oscar got robbed.
