I thought that was the whole argument about fighting in vegas? How they didnt allow 8oz gloves but they got the rule overchanged just for this fight. I could be wrong but that was word on da street last time I heard
yes 8 oz. its the only way Cotto would fightin Vegas. Im not sure if they made an exemption for this fight or they changed the nevada rules.

As far as Im aware that is all true mate :good The ruling was changed to allow 10oz/8oz, whereas before it was only 10oz I believe, otherwise people were saying it would be at MSG so Cotto could use the 8oz, although I think Cotto said something to the effect of "I dont care what gloves I use...."
They had a review of the rules I think, its been changed to allow 8oz gloves, not just for this fight.
