Just watched him on ifilm.Interesting guy without resorting to badmouthing anybody. Also an example to others fitness wise.McDermott came across well also.Any comments?
Yes mate.Made for a very interesting interview IMO.Could talk about past opponents without slagging them off, even giving out a few compliments.Sat near to John but didn't feel the need to gloat on his previous win and try and put one over on him.Quietly confident.
Nice guy Matt Skelton outside of the ring, afew years back! I honestly think he was one of the hardest British boxers ever! Even still now today, he is probably one of the hardest.
He is a great example, people often speak about Hopkins being in good shape at 48 years old but for somebody who's 62 you have to give Skelton some serious credit, he is in good nick.
Could you imagine telling him he's a great pro for his age,a great example to older people in sport and that 60 is the new 50??
What was interesting was that Maloney (who was actually quite candid and sensible in his interview) stated that Price will vacate the British title soon. A possible way back for Chisora/Harrison?
Matt is one of my fav fighters. I loved watching him beat up our emotional wrecks in domestic heavyweight scene. I remember him losing to Williams in a fight i felt he won but the memory i have of that fight was his scalp spitting out blood and him roaring and launching a attack on Williams. Bedford Bear :deal. He's a guy who proves if you believe, work hard and focus and make use of a little you can make it a fair way in the sport. Talent is only a small part of the sport..
