I think i was the only one who enjoyed seeing 'the bear' mauling sprott while he hung on for his life for 12 rounds. i was shock by the judges however.

i think that skelton has great work rate for his age and can really ware down opponents, hence his good record. i would give him 50/50 against any of the w champs except for wlad.

    anyone agree?

Personally I think he is too crude and hasn't had enough experience at top level. If he was dominating opponents and finishing them in 'style' then it may be a different story.

The 'fight' - for want of a better word against Sprott was abysmal. Skelton tried nothing new and Sprott's showing was lamentable.

I would love to see him step up as it may bring a better performance out of him. However, in my opinion he is shy of world level.

He can be an "opponent" for someone rising to the top or a champ looking to pad his record.

He was offerred a fight against Maskaev in Moscow. He (or F Warren in his place) refused, using not enough money as an excuse. Shows how much faith Warren has in him. Maskaev then fought Peter Okhello. That also shows how highly Skelton is regarded.

He will be easily beaten by any world class heavyweight.

    Hahahahahahahahaha

To be fair it is Sprott who should get the bulk of criticsm for Saturday, atleast Skelton tried to win and did what he usually does and fought ugly.

In all seriousness though with this current HW scene anything is possible in terms of world champs.

Only a duff referee like mickey vann would let skelton get away with that holding and hitting behind the head and in the back, he just let them maul and grapple against those ropes, Sprott was winning the rounds early when he stayed at distance and jabbed but what can tou do when someone that size lays ontop of you on th eropes, holding! Vann and Neuman are 2 referees that should retire, Neuman i sth eguy that let Wlad grab and hold all night against Peter. Skelton is a waste of time when it come sto title shot. Warren was probably relieved by the fight becaus eafterward he said that he wouldnt be able to put eithe rguy in a title fight off the back of that. Fantastic lol, he saved himself the embarressment of explaining why he wasnt getting the winner the shot he promised after every fight in recent memory that we all knew would never come lol.

God no! Even the chumps who call themselves champs at heavy would dispose of Skelton with ease.
The scoring was a bit odd though.

Skelton though wouldnt be knocked out. As far as i know he has a titanium chin. His mauling roughhouse style although really unpleasant on the eye, would give all the intl heavyweights out there nightmares, although they should still win but win ugly

I dont really know what his power is like though.

That's very unlikely. Current IBO-Champ: Wladimir Klitschko.

The Brits love the WBU crown, maybe that's the title he should concentrate on.
