Title may sound a bit of an oxymoron but there are some examples where a fighter can have good boxing ability but isn't versatile in other departments and only fights one way with no plan B. I think Ivan Calderon, as good as what he does, is pretty one dimensional overall.
Wladimir Klitschko. Watch the fights with McCline and Mercer. That's one slick, badass boxing heavyweight. His fights today have largely abandoned the dynamic fluidity of his early style in favor of his concussive straight punches and imposing physical strength. Wlad fights in a hyper European style nowadays because it worked, but there was a short stretch where he was the most dynamic heavyweight on the scene, and viewed as Lewis' inevitable successor.
Manny Stewarts fighters tend to fight a certain way, behind the jab. Lots of grabbing and leaning as well from his heavyweights. I always liked Ricky Hatton even though some don't, in recent years he climbed high up the ranks with a style that wasn't hard to predict. Opponents knew exactly what Hatton was going to. He only had one way of fighting.
Not true. Hatton had two ways of fighting, but could only do one at a time in any given fight. For example, boxing: Paulie Mauling: Tszyu
Hatton did very little boxing in his career. I'm not reaching too far when I say that. Hatton was more cautious after the Floyd and Lazcano fights because he had lost his pomp and needed his confidence back. Hatton personified the come forward aggressive wrestling fighter that worked well on the inside. Not many would dispute this was his boxing style. I've noticed you're a touch contrarion.
Tackie was before Tszyu. He boxed there as well. I only post to the contrary when I think someone is wrong.
