I'd like to add to Amir Khan's section: Pros: Size and height compared to most Junior Welterweights Con: Lacks inside fighting
Carl Froch - Strengths - tremendous 100 punch KO power. Elusive speed. So fast that it looks like he's moving in slow motion. Unshakeable chin, believed to be downed by Taylor and hurt by Dirrell when actuality the force of the blows he absorbed with ease caused a part of the ring to collapse, thus why he slipped. Weaknesses - "26 have tried, 26 have failed"
I'd like to add to Roy Jones section: Pros: One of the greatest boxing talents of all time. High boxing I.Q. and awareness. Great speed: hand-speed, agility, reflexes. Combined speed, grace, and effectiveness into one. Power also, and somewhat unexpected which makes him more amazing. Overall great athlete. Was a "hit and not be hit" style of boxer in the same vein as FMJ, Pernell Whitaker, Joan Guzman, and Zab Judah. Cons: Sometimes gets into trouble when he's backed up onto the ropes.
He grew more lazy with his defense and head movement later on. He slipped shots better when he was younger. Later on it seemed like he often just forgot to move his head when he came in. I recently found an old tape of a USA bout with Meyers getting knocked out by a guy named Sanchez.
Cotto probably displays better ring generalship when he's coming forward than when he attempts to box because when he's on the move he slides along the ropes and often has to stop to throw his combinations therefore trapping himself against an aggressor. Those habits left him vulnerable against Margarito.
Dirrell: Pro: Superman-like hand speed, Fast legs, intelligent fighter. Con: Inexperienced, seems 'scared' to get hit.
David Haye: Strengths: Power, athleticism, pretty good hand speed (much more so with the big right hand), ability to set traps and then take advantage. Weaknesses: Stamina, punch resistance, tendency to be sloppy, doesn't move his head enough which causes him to get hit too much by jabs.
