I wouldn't doubt it in the least his posting style seems familiar. But I've done a pretty good job of erasing SweetSciGuru from my memory.

Bute fanatics were exactly the same as GiGi fans. In their eyes although Bute hadn't fought anyone he was unbeatable. His was the uppercut to KO all contenders, and all the Super 6 contestants were not only ducking him, but took drastic steps to lock Bute out of the competition, else they'd all fall to KO because Bute punched too hard, and his skills were so great.
Every fighter was ducking Bute, from SMW to LHW. None wanted to be KO'ed by this Romanian steamroller.
All this when Bute's best opponent was an old Glen Johnson, which he won by decision, which I guess is sort of equivalent to a young Willie Monroe.
A third of the site had massive alt changes the day following the Froch exposure.
The day after GiGi finally steps up I expect pharmacists will profit from a huge increase of Prozac prescriptions as they did before. :smoke

I know I remember, although I wasn't posting at the time I was reading the forums back then. I even remember the RBR, everyone was predicting Froch losing by KO :lol:and were all blown away by what was transpiring in front of their eyes. I really wanted to sign up that day to laugh at all of them.

350 amateur wins, only 5 losses......................Golovkin is the best middleweight in the world today.......................power, can cut the ring off, great defense whenever he needs to use it, rock solid chin, fantastic balance, knows how to set his opponent up.........................ad infinitum................

spend less time writing 80k word essays on how you feel the mw division is actually good(heres a hint...it isnt), worrying about what was so and so's "alt", and worrying about how good of a win froch would have been for ggg....

and start wondering why ggg is such a ducking coward

like i said you could give ggg 12 mil right now to cancel lemieux fight and fight ward in december and hed pass.....beating carl froch right now would not do or mean much for ggg.....he doesnt have much left...froch can be outboxed by a better boxer...which ggg is....

The same scenario could apply to your ducking hero Ward, he'll find any reason imaginable to duck a fight with Kovalev. And even if he does fight him he'll find a million different stipulations to add on along the way the weaken Kovalev as much as humanly possible.

I am not doubting Golovkin has skill. You don't win that many amateur fights without having boxing skills. I do think that he gets buy on his power, and has no defense. His offense is his defense. That may continue to work for him, who knows.

His level of opposition has been so low though, that it is hard to guage how good he is. If he had of faced Pirog, that would have told us more. If he faces Jacobs, or Quillen, that will tell us more. Lemeux is just another scrub, that is being hyped into having a chance.

I remember that cat. He did have a very good point about the Golovkin/Bute similarities. Anyone with 100 active Neutrons can see this.
I can easily see why he was a hated scholar of the site. :smoke

You guys are crazy if you think he has no defense. Go watch some of his amateur fights. He has a great defense, especially for someone who is a pressure fighter and constantly coming forward.
