Dudes are nuts if they don't see that he has excellent handspeed and good power. Unfortunately he doesnt have the will to mix it up, which would use those traits most effectively. Also has those footwork issues. He needs to back down in weight where he can bully guys.

He does have talent. It's obvious. I can't tell what he's missing. Activity maybe, or taking more risks.

honestly, I think his speed is the only thing he might be top 10 in at 147 lbs.

    Not good power
    Bad chin
    Poor heart
    horrible ring iq
predictable, maybe if he hadn't thrown the same check hook EVERYTIME porter came in, he could have caught porter with something.

Many people are gifted with speed, good chins, power, stamina, but if you don't win the fights you're still a bum.

Or maybe just maybe it's his

    Mediocre style
    Lack of head movement
    Lack of footwork
Poor defense + average chin =
    Low ring IQ
    Lack of discipline
    One dimensional

Bottom line is he's all hype. He already lost to Daniel Ponce De Leon...Fun Fight to watch, Broner getting whooped on by DPDL is a nice cherry on top. Too bad the boxing forces cheated De Leon. He supposedly also lost to some guy named Quintero and Maidana and Shawn Porter. Also the Malignaggi fight is controversial.

    Not a fvcking chance.

He has good power, handspeed and a nice shot selection (which he uses all too sparingly).

He doesn't, as I've always maintained, have a good defence. Some people are apparently so hypnotised by the shoulder roll, they can't see he's easy to fit. He's flat footed, doesn't seem to have a ring IQ, therefore can be bullied, out-worked and out-boxed.

The skills he has are flashy, which is clearly enough for some people to comically overrated him. Skills are more than power, hand speed and nice looking punches.

There's no way at all that he's top 25. He's probably lower than that too.

lol! outboxed by Porter and you think that?

Mayweather, Rigo, Ward, Lomo, Gonzales, Golovkin, Kovalev, Spence, Crawford, Pacquiao

    all better

I really really really do not rate much of Broners skill set.

Can the thread writer please be more specific with what skills he has that are above average.

I find it hard to think of anything that stands out in him, and have felt this way even when he was apparently due to be the next Floyd Mayweather.

A sign that he has a mediocre skillset.

If he needs size alone to be able to win a fight that shows he does not have a mixed skillset that means he cant adapt. He struggles with come forward brawlers. He lost to one, then fought another one and still had no answer on how to adapt to that style.

    And his workrate is pathetic.

IMO he is an average fighter with a big mouth. Gets beaten by anyone reasonably decent, which his results have proven.
