Skip Bayless is a professional troll. He is full of revisionist rhetoric and his 'five long years' speech got old the first time he uttered it let alone the 100th time. He even stated just the other day that Manny wasn't put to sleep against Marquez, no knockout?! Evil looking gremlin and no good for the sport. The good news is on May 3rd he'll look even worse than he normally does - although I'm sure he'll find an excuse to lick Manny's ball5.
I know, it's just played out now though. The controversy isn't funny or exciting. It's the same debate every time. All we see is two biased commentators who will not look objectively at anything shouting over each other. I just can't stand either of them.
Skip Bayless doesn't know shiite about sports period. I was glad when Jalen Rose some years back set him straight.
I kinda felt sorry for him when Jalen put him on the spot. He knew he fukced up when Jalen pulled out his high school stats, which was a disgrace of stat. The guy was a glorified bench warmer. Skip barely averaged a point a point in high school, but the way he talked about his high school career you will think they guy was some high school basketball legend
He knows more then skips dumb ass and you for that matter. How in hell can you say Hearns is over rated, then compare Pac to Hagler ? Anyone that is a student of the game know that Hagler and Pac are on two opposite sides of the boxing spectrum.
At around the 2:10 minute mark: Skip tries to make it 'clear' for his viewers who might not be as 'knowledgeable' as him on boxing that during catchweight fights, you are NOT allowed to weigh any more than the agreed weight even after the weigh in, he even states that Canelo is forbidden to rehydrate or put on a couple extra pounds after the weigh ins [YT]Gj3xthI-TgE[/YT] At around the 3:30 mark to about 4:30: Now here is Dan Rafael explaining to them how weigh ins work, and accuses Skip of confusing people with his BS that was obviously misinformed, but Skip pretends like that never happened, even though it did, in the video above [YT]062ND0FuD-s[/YT]
Skip and Smith both say some dumb ass ****. Here's an example of each: Skip: "Sugar Ray Leonard DOMINATED Tommy Hearns in the 1st fight" atsch Smith: (When comparing Aaron Pryor to Pacquiao) "When Pryor fought Arguello for the 2nd time, Arguello was knocked down and sat there counting with the ref, because he knew he could not beat this man" (without realizing that he had described the exact same frucking thing that happened to Morales when he fought Pacquiao in the 3rd fight. Literally, the exact same scenario :huh)
I usually like Skip's humorous comments and debates, but Hearns overrated?, that's just straight-up idiotic.
