Watch it objectivly until point took away from Hatton in rd 6.

    5 completed rds.

    Rd 1: Mayweather
    Rd 2 Hatton
    Rd 3 Hatton
    Rd 4 Mayweather
    Rd 5 Hatton

Hatton 3-2 up bossing the fight.

    Cortez ruined this scrap.

There's nothing remotely dumb about a dumbwaiter. Those are very smart inventions right there.

God, I fail to see what difference Cortez made. Hatton wasnt winning the strength battle on the inside. Mayweather was ready for it, he tied up his arms, and when Hatton got dirty he did it right back.

The ref didnt help but it wouldnt have mattered. Mayweather was clearly superior and the "vast majority" of Hatton's work was ineffective when they were given freedom to work. Hatton did have the habit of locking up his opponents arms after missing, which IS initiating a clinch. Cortez broke them on that basis but did so WAY to often.

It would still have been a UD for Floyd without that bull**** point deduction. He didn't even make contact with him did he?

Hatton won no more than 1 round in that fight. It was an absolute clinic by PBF.:deal

nah ref did take hatton out of his gameplan and it was competitive for 6 rounds with a different ref ricky might have had more early success but the result would have been the same floyd was simply too good

Cortez wasn't the deciding factor but he made for a poor fight which played towrd Mayweather's strengths. He didn't let the action flow where he could and was WAY too involved. He is a terrible ref and that is not just based on this fight. Mayweather would have won regardless of who was the third man, but what we didn't see was how Mayweather would cope with Hatton's pressure if the fight had settled down. I think if we had Bayless we would have seen a more entertaining fight with the same result.
