Hatton was outclassed. Cortez had **** all to do with wether Hatton won the fight or night so all the Hatton lovers stop ****in crying and shut the **** up.

that was a sloppy fight on both ends. Elbows, holding, ducking low, hitting behind the head, weird point deductions...

Cortez was biased but Floyd would probably have won anyways. Hatton has had refs help him 10 times more.

LEVELS! Mayweather was/is a league above Hatton! Plain & simple. I was a BIG Hatton fan, but Floyd teed off on him! Hatton couldn't see the shots coming by the end of the bout!

The fight was fairly one sided ,but it was competitive in the first 5 or so rounds. Hatton won at least rounds 2 , 3 , and maybe 1 or two others. Floyd fans just don't want to admit Ricky Fatton made Floyd fight for 10 rounds, and got starched by Pac in 2.

I remember giving hatton round 5 ... that's about it maybe round 2 also .. but from 7 and on hatton was getting it ... 8 and 9 were big for may .. 8th he was corner to corner and 9th he was getting jabbed up .. we all remember round 10 "which way did he go"

This sort of post is comical. The point deduction did not lead to Hatton getting timed and put to the canvas. Hatton got away with lunging in throughout his entire career until he came up against the best fighter in the world who made his own career off of countering mistakes.

How would the ref make Hatton's chin harder? How does he make his defense better?? Nobody can win for Hatton but himself. Even if he was leading through 5 rds, is that any more significant than Cotto pitching a shut out against Margarito through 6 rds? Mayweather has a habit of starting off slow then he picks his opponent apart in the middle-late rounds. This is a strength, not a weakness.

To the untrained eye it might have looked competitive but it was far from it after the 2nd round. It was PBF's subtle genuis that kept it from being so after the 2nd round. Hatton didn't land **** of note and was getting out worked and beaten up on the inside and out muscled there, anytime there was distance he was stung by laser like straight right hands and beaten to the punch, PBF mixed up his attack to the head and body as well. PBF figured Hatton out beat him at his own game broke him down and made him dance with the ring post. It was an underrated clinic if anything and beautiful to watch if you appreciate savvy boxers with high ring IQs. PBF set traps and baited Hatton all night long into opening up, becoming more and more reckless. He had Hatton so wound up that he didn't know if he was coming or going and walked him into that left hook that ended Hatton's night.

True. I am just providing some balance seeing as the fight is available to watch for UK Sky Viewers Anytime at the moment. It was more competitive than people made out with Hatton leading after rd 5. The Yanks want us to believe Mayweather won every minute of the rd just like Calazghe (pound for pound number one at that moment) did against Lacy. Well its not true. Hatton won 3rds of the first 5.

Bigtime, thats not even a debate, he ruined the fight for Hatton, and you are right, he was ahead at that point.

Ended up losing his composure and being picked off and stopped in the 10th, he'd have saw the final bell with a better referee and who knows, maybe the scorecards wouldnt have been clear cut.

Not true. Hatton won rd 3 and 5, when was last time you actually saw this?
After rd 5, one minute in Hatton lost a point for punching the rope. Hatton lost his head and Mayweather took over. AND NOONE DISPUTES MAYWEATHER TOOK OVER AFTER THIS POINT.

Christ people like to claim this fight was closer than it was, and that Cortez somehow ruined Hatton's chances. When Cortez allowed more action in the inside in clinches, Mayweather was getting the better out of it there as well. He was landing the cleaner blows up close, digging in right hands to the body with his free hand, slipping most of Hatton's shots.

Hatton is/was a good fighter, but simply not on the level of a Mayweather or Pacquiao.

My analysis couldn't be more spot on Hatton won only 1 round in that fight if that. You don't know what you're takking about. All that talk about it being competitive is just pure nonsense, it was a boxing lesson.
