Just watched Froch's one, Looks like Rob has demanded a bit more thought and skill in his work in training. Maybe he's told Carl 'you lost doing it your way, time to do it my way'. Wish Carl listened to him a long time ago.
atschOh! Sorry mate! I like Buncey, and agree with alot of what he has to say, but just in case he does find reason to criticise these particular shows (which I doubt he will) then it would be childish to do so IMO.
Thought Bute and his team came across very well, regarding the Andrade fight the ref finished his count after 21 seconds!
The Eno number is used during the build up to a fight but what is the song playing during the Andrade fight? It sounds to me like Thom Yorke on vocals but haven't had any luck searching youtube through Radioheads' or his solo dsicography. Perhaps Ed could have a word with Dave Finch and enlighten us?
great shows the bute one is mainly and introduce to bute but the frooch one is everything 24/7 should be loved the sparring footage and the bit showing his corner and their preparation
Bunce was recently giving a plug to Ringside on Twitter. Steve Bunce ‏@bigdaddybunce BBC London 94.9 tonight: Adam Booth, Audley Harrison, Darren Hamilton. Waiting on Froch to confirm. Watch Ringside, good names, then switch! tair khan ‏@gp1khan @bigdaddybunce plugging ringside buncey..they'd never do it the other way round! Steve Bunce ‏@bigdaddybunce @gp1khan Calzaghe, Khan and Pricey live ...that's worth a plug.
:goodYea, I saw that too mate, I think the bottom line with Buncey is he just loves boxing and wants it to be successful. I think his paymasters on Boxnation may perhaps restrict him sometimes (but I haven't seen any real evidence of this), but certainly on his radio show I heard last night he gave more coverage to the Sky card this weekend than the Boxnation one!
Maybe it's about time some people on here started cutting Buncey some slack; ok, when Boxnation started I think he rubbed a few people up the wrong way bigging up fights that didn't really deserve it, but I suppose at the end of the day he has a career and a family to feed. But his radio show, his columns in the press, and more specifically his Bunce Hour show on Boxnation all give equal coverage to fighters regardless of what channel or network they are alligned to. The fact that certain fighters have alledgedlly been told they can't appear on his Boxnation show is ridiculous, but does he take it personally and throw his dolly out? No, he does the profesional and decent thing and gets them on his radio show instead. Bottom line is the man loves the sport and is a good flag waver for us, we should be glad that we have someone so verbose banging the drum for the sport we all love. Come on, give the guy a break!:good
