do you think being "positive" about eddie hearn and matchroom makes you a boxing fan? it doesn't! it makes you a casual little **** that only watches matchroom shows because that's whats getting promoted, you're an imbecile that has proved time and time again that you spend more time ****ing over eddie and his matchroom stable to ever understand what a good fight is

 

No you aren't positive about anything, everything is a bad show, be it FW, Eddie, Mick, anyone. Watching a Matchroom show makes me a casual? Okay then you are a casual also as you must have watched it to know it was a bad show. I watch any boxing, the reality is I see plenty of guys on here with negative views and opinions all the time of every promoter. I just defend promoters, I have defended FW before but people choose to skip over that, when I say a fact like he was unlucky due to pull outs, its suddenly fanboyism, no it isn't, its merely me actually not choosing to attack people over every little thing and actually trying to enjoy boxing for what it is, **** happens, look at top rank, one of the biggest promotional teams, look at that card they had the weekend, it was awful by their standards, bad shows happen all over the world its not just Hearn that is making bad shows.

 

Hearn should give Shafiq and Robinson a bonus and a very good one, that was the best thing put on Saturday night.

A little Twitter feud and they both gave their all.

 

Im just glad they got shot of Ringside. The Matchroom hype was sickening.

 

I think the worry is that PPV is becoming more common and that the price of PPV has gone up.
Good domestic match ups are starting to be talked of in a PPV sense.
I am not sure many on here will recall some of the 90s match ups but PPV was for the very high profile fights where there were big long cards with good match ups and on regular Sky you had your mismatches at times but also had some good match ups like B Schwer/C Dunn that I dont think would have been sold as PPV even though both were good LWs

 

Rumours are that Haymon may bring the PBC to the UK (which would make sense given he has a few uk fighters on his books already) so Hearn may be forced into producing a better product. At the moment it feels like Sky/Hearn are phoning in the vast majority of domestic output.
