    My thought are as follows:

Mayweather wasn't in the ring Saturday night, it was his fighter, Hatton, who got iced at the end of the second round.

Hatton lost this fight, not Joy Floyd.

an absurd opinion from McCrory. Ian Darke and Jim Watt were spot on in commentary. Watt kept saying he couldnt believe how nieve Hatton was being. It doesnt take a genius to work out that the gameplan discussed was thrown out of the window by Ricky Hatton. Also the fighter that beat Tszyu would of still lost. Anyone who thinks hatton walking forward in straight lines taking clean hits could beat Manny is crazy. I admit I actually picked hatton to win late but I was expecting a hatton to turn up fighting how his trainer and himself said they would.

The fighter you were expecting sounds like another fighter and not Ricky Hatton it seems. Anybody who knows anything about this business knows that a fighter dont change the habit of a lifetime overnight.Expecting a boxer to appear instead of the rushing-brawling style of fighter we know as Ricky Hatton is truly wishful thinking at best.

Sure it would have been wonderful to see,but it was never going to happen once the pressure was turned up,and that happenned as soon as the bell rang.....the one who applied the pressure was Ricky himself. He could have waited a little bit longer than 3 seconds before doing so .He had to take control and the only way he could have done that was to outmuscle manny and hope to put him on the canvas early.

He couldnt outbox manny....so he did what Fraud told him.....overpower him he said.Well he tried and failed. No defense. He gave it a shot and THE TEAM LOST!!!!! not just Ricky. Ricky is still a better fighter than floyd is a trainer.Floyd would have learned from this fight.A lesson one would have thought he would have learned and benifitted from many years ago.....hes still crossing his fingers and wishing things happen after all these years eh??? yeah he is great aint he.

Glenn has no idea what he's talking about and is simply a Hatton apologist. He is an excuse maker.Didn't he also blame Hatton's ko loss to Mayweather on Cortez? What crap.Enough is enough.

I kinda liked Ricky and Sr. I thought in malinagi fight that he had added another element to Ricky's game that would only help him. When many boxers start to lose some of the physical tools (and Ricky had) that took them to the top...a good head and skill set can help you last for many years and sometimes at as high or even a higher level.

In watching hatton vs Pac, it seems like Floyd had Ricky coming out slower than was normal for Ricky, and largely behind a slow pawing jab. On the other hand Ricky was not doing what Floyd was pleading with him to do...move your head Ricky, you can't keep coming at him with your hands low...get em up and move your head. I don't know that you can blame either one of them. It is clear that the strategy was not employed...so you can only fault Floyd for maybe making Ricky hesitant in the pressure he applied. Either way hats off to Pac (and Roach!)

I was reading the comments on that article and amazingly, some posters agree with what the writer was saying.

He overstated it and chose his words poorly. Perhaps Glenn should have calmed himself down before writing this piece.

    Mayweather's results speak for themselves.

Mayweather Snr punched Hatton in the face did he?

If Hatton had not got caught in the 2nd round all that would of happened.......he would of got beaten up, THEN knocked out.

IT's true..I seen their camp on 24/7 they joking alot. And not taking anything serious. Ricky looked flashy on the heavy bag and mitt work. When I saw the Sparring clip. I was like WTF has he been doing with Floy snr, drinking cool aid? talking smack and maybe admiring his art work.

Probably a valid excuse had it been a wide UD for Pac. But f@cking KO2. Did not matter what round, just one solid punch from either right or left from Pac, lights out for Ricky. No version of Ricky past or present would have won that fight.
