they tried to hide their game plan from 24/7... They came in ready and in topform. Sr. did a good job at training hatton and adding movements in his arsenal. Pac was just better and Roach had the perfect gameplan. No excuses.

"Not even Manny Pacquiao..." Jeez... and before the fight Sr. was their trump card and were singing hosannas to him how improved Ricky was in the Malignaggi domination and now their changing their tune.

Sore losers. Why can't these people just accept defeat gracefully and STFU.

The Ricky Hatton that beat Kostya Tszyu had Dave Parris fighting alongside him.

Void, Sr. did not help Hatton, but it was Hatton who lost the fight.

To detract from Pacquiao's "contribution" to defeating Hatton in such a way is criminal and should strip this man of all credibility.

It would've been interesting to see Hatton fight Pacquiao another way, but lets be fair Pac proved himself a class above.

When this writer overcomes his hormonal surge he should apologize for to Pacquiao and the world for these comments.

McCrory is just shilling for his paymasters. That's all he does, there isn't an objective bone in his body, or if there is, his contract forbids it to make its presence felt.

SKY know their PPV Boxing plans took a big knock when Hatton was so outclassed. However, the cash cow needs to be protected, so you get articles like the one linked.

McCrory'd try to tell you with a straight face that Danny Williams winning a decision last weekend makes him 'no.1 Heavy in the UK'. As far as he is concerned, fights/fighters that aren't on SKY, may as well not exist.

Hopefully Hatton will realise he's done and stop fighting and enjoy the rest of his life - possibly growing into the new Bernard Manning. Unfortunately, McCrory and his ilk will be in his ear telling him "you're still the greatest" and "It was all Floyds fault" and maybe it will end up with SKY getting what they want....

A PPV 'Extravaganza' of Khan vs Hatton. They'll hype it to the max as 'Changing of the Guard' (regardless of the Khan-Kotelnik result) and 'Battle of Britain', perhaps even 'Man City vs Bolton'.
£14.95 please, oh and we've got Enzo Mac fighting for the WBX Intercontinental Interim 200lb South Walian Doorman Title on the undercard.

Did anyone read Audley Harrisons comment further down the page? If that really was Audley perhaps he needs to take his own advice!

    Audley Harrison says...
After blaming Cortez for his defeat to Mayweather jnr. now it appears Mayweather snr. is too blame for this crushing defeat. People assume Ricky Hatton is a great fighter because of his fan base. He is a good fighter but not a great fighter. Badly outclassed by two great fighters in Mayweather jnr and the Pacman who both exposed his ability to step up to the true boxing elite level. If he decides to fight 1 more fight as a farewell then he is only doing it for his ego. Leave the sport with a bit of dignity and retire immediately and take a long break out of the spotlight.

    Posted 06:45 4th May 2009

Problem for Harrison really is though he was sparked out not at elite level...he's never fought there yet...he gets KO'd at domestic UK level.

Have Sky got Ricky lined up for another Pay Per View fight in the near future or something??

That is the only reason I can think of for Glenn McCrory to come out with such nonsense (i.e trying to fool the british public and boxing world that Hatton is not finished and it was the trainers fault he lost etc) so that people believe him and pay to watch the next fight!?

Sky have been known to be completely biased towards the British fighter, on box office events, in the past - watching the Khan v Barrera fight was unbelievable where the pundits/commentators virtually said nothing about the fact Barrera could'nt see for most of the fight and kept coming out with classic lines - "Khan has now enetered on to the world stage" as he was standing there punching a blind fighter in the face for 6 rounds!
