Sky buys exclusive rights to the entire HBO TV catalogue

Wonder whether they have excluded the boxing from the agreement. Could this fall outside of the "TV Catalogue"?

Best news in a long time if it does include boxing coverage but can't see it.

hbo dont own the international rights to boxing, thats done through the promoter. this deal only covers shows made by HBO (i.e Sopranos, The Wire)

Sky will by the rights for Marquez vs Diaz from Godlenboy NOT HBO

 

Good point. Only way it could be passed on would be if HBO agreed an additional figure in their fee with the promoters each time a fight came around to allow Sky to show it, which would never be agreed upon up front between HBO and Sky.

I wanna try and set up a campaign to contact US promoters about making there fights avalible. everyone jsut slagged me off about it though.
