I remember numerous times watching boxing and thinking he's neither a journeyman or a gatekeeper, I truely believe those days are over.

Why doesn't he just take on prescot. A meaningful name that is recognisable.

in terms of PPV sales Prescott would garner the most interest as he is the biggest name mentioned followed by Katsidis.

I rate McCloskey which is why I don't want him to take this fight yet. He can pick up the vacant WBC this year, a few defences then push for a big fight when he is ready.

Fighters need to be cooked not microwaves. He is not ready yet.

    How isn't he?

    He's ****ing crap.

See above. Kevin Mitchell is a gatekeeper - being annihilated by Katsidis proves that.

I've not seen Byrne yet, but I'd stick Gavin in with him tomorrow. It would be a mismatch.

    He doesn't mean **** all.

You would but would Frank Warren and Dean Powell??? No chance and they no 100x more than you do.

Mitchell is still a contender. Lost one fight to a World Class fighter.

His name means more than any of the other opponents.

If Prescott is a journeyman what are the 20 guys he knocked out???

A journey man does not equal bum. They where bums. Tomatocans

I'd imagine they would, but Prescott seems to think he's a valuable commodity and would want too much ££££.

Mitchell isn't a contender. Katsidis is a contender - I love the bloke but he's fought three world class fighters and lost..... three times. He'll always knock over the likes of Mitchell and fighters a couple of levels above, but against the likes of Marquez he falls quite a way short, as the fight proved.

Prescott's name doesn't mean more than the likes of Peterson or McCloskey..... that's just conjecture or being a Khan hater. He's garbage, in a thousand goes he'd repeat that maybe half a dozen times.

As for the opponents, yeah, most likely a bunch of tomato cans.... how many of those had winning records or possessed two arms?

Mitchell whipped him badly - and he's smaller, was coming off a pretty long break (apart from a couple of bums after the Johanneson fight) and average himself.

Make of that what you will, but at least be objective. A man who was all but shut out by a Euro class super feather shouldn't be getting in the ring with a world class light welter.
