Sky giving priority to Khan over Wlad/Haye makes no sense.

Everyone loves heavyuweight boxing, more the reason why they would show it over khans.

    They're almost guranteed a knockout.

Khan being asian has nothing to do withit, if yiou could explain that a bit more .....

Sky must have already written a contract out with khan for april, if it was worcd of mouth they would likely chose the bigger seller which is haye.

Also they realise that this fight keeps being negotiated and stalling so rather than have someone pullout in haye v klit they go with more reliable fight of khan vs tba and wont end up out of pocket.

The world doesn't revolve around Haye. It's time he realised that.

And his fans should realise that Sky would end up in court for breach of contract for bumping the Khan promotion, which will be nearly finalised at this stage.

    You're bias is actually embarrassing.

My thoughts exactly. It's the most logical and simplest explanation.

Unlike Madballaster who is a joker

It does make sense. Khan is a budding superstar and has potential to be a massive PPV draw with a long career still ahead of him. He is probably the most popular british fighter right now and there will be near or as much interest in his next fight as there might be for a Haye-Klitschko clash. Haye has made public his wish to get out of the sport this year.

Haye and Booth also play to their own rules and are a quite a slimy pair with litte respect for protocol, agreements or contracts. Haye has a history of ****ing people over, be it the Klits, Setanta, and is fresh off embarrassing Sky with the Audley farce. There would have been quite a backlash from their veiwers for that fight. No surprise really Sky weren't prepared to risk putting their faith and trust in Haye so soon after, if it meant having to shun Khan.

    I agree on a whole.

But I guess Sky can't/couldn't do anything about it. What Booth/Goldenboy, etc need to do now is keep Haye interested in this bout. I've actually been genuinely impressed by his efforts (what has been shown through the media anyway) to make this bout happen...that's the first I've said I've been impressed by Haye for a long time.

From what I've read, Sky also has dates available in May/June that RTL weren't happy with. Would it really be asking too much for Sky to ask Khan's camp to move his fight one month back to accomodate Haye?

Also, I can't imagine a situation where Khan's camp would be foolish enough to sue SKy for damages. Sky is the only network in the UK where Khan will be able to make his millions. Yes it's important for Sky to keep Khan happy but it's equally as important for Khan not to **** with Sky.

Sky is not gonna give up Khan for Haye when they know Haye will not fight the Klitschkos and will backout at some point...

Khan can't properly headline a PPV yet, using his own name anyway...and be guaranteed big numbers. I don't know how many PPV's he's been on in the UK, but his first time on PPV...he was KO'd. His last PPV was a massive PPV in the UK, because of how many bouts there were...Khan's name was added, but there was already big buzz for that PPV.
Khan is one of the biggest names in British boxing, but his next PPV will not even come close to what Haye and Wlad will do.

How did Haye **** over Setanta?

I'm sure there will be a slight backlash, but Harrison got the majority of the blame. And this PPV will be Haye v Wlad, arguably the biggest bout that can happen at Heavy...it would be massive in the UK.

Also, I imagine Sky would ideally hold Haye - Klitscko in the summer which is void of almost ALL sporting competition. No football, no Olympics etc. That's more money burning holes in sports fans pockets in the summer than in the football season.

I read the post here, an it sounds like khan has got a good chance not to get good PPV buys, maybe they could put him on the undercard, have him fight in germany

Sky should just do a double header like they were going to do for Chisora v Wlad, and Khan v Maidana (plus all the bouts in England)...I don't see why they havn't done that.

they will argue over who's main event.

plus they make more money with individual ppv's.

I guess so, but does Khan seriously believe he can gain even close to as much interest in his stay busy/gain experience bout, compared to arguably the biggest Heavyweight bout that can be made?

Khan was happy to share the bill with Wlad (until Wlad pulled out) in December...and what can Khan say really, "I won't appear on Sky Box Office from now on then.".......

but wlad or chisora wouldn't have been getting a cut of the UK ppv where as haye will.
