Watched a YouTube vid of Shalom stating the sky deal has not been renewed and that they also will not have a fight by fight deal with sky.

Does sky walk away from boxing altogether? Would be a shame but since Boxxer Sky contract I haven’t purchased a PPV from them not that there has been many.

makes me wonder why sky went along with limited PPV being offered from Boxxer if they weren’t in it for the longer term with them .

With Riyadh season and Saudi cards, do broadcasters even need their own rosters anymore ?

Good riddance to him. He has single-handedly ruined the powerhouse that was Sky Sports boxing.

Worst Promoter ever with a televised deal in British Boxing history.

It's been a shambles from start to finish. Just got given the 4 year deal on a plate and didn't have a clue what he was doing.

Hearn will eat Anthony Joshua Pie and be back on Sky soon enough.

He knows DAZN has been a disaster in terms of profile for boxers, fights and profile.

You are right, but it hasn't been a disaster in terms of Hearn's bank account. The forces that be propping up DAZN (including the Saudi's) seemingly have no regard to the platforms commercial viability, and lord knows how much more losses they will stomach before throwing in the towel. I can't really blame the promoters; when in the midst of a broadcaster (DAZN), and a backer (Turki), who are willing to throw money around with no regard to the return, I too would keep my mouth shut and just ride the gravy train as long as it will go.

Hearn has done very well financially out of the deals with DAZN and Turkey plus ended up with his length hitting the Oz market.

Can see him leaving Frank deserted on Desert Island DAZN and taking back the UK position on Sky.

Based on their shows in recent months, if I was Sky I would bring back Frank all day long.

Simple fact of the matter is that SKY don’t need boxing. Our sport is niche and doesn’t get the views to warrant the money required to support the purses unfortunately.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they just show the Saudi PPV’s and exit the market to be honest.

Where does Boxxer go from here? His shows are bad enough without being hidden away on the DAZN app.

Sky will become a PPV only function for the Saudi cards. Sad times for British boxing, the sport is about to become even more niche.

Feel for people like Andy Clarke, he should not be left on the sidelines.

He’s going to DAZN isn’t he ? Riyad Season ad behind him. Turki wants everyone with DAZN . He’s the money man. If it was Sky we’d know by now. All boxing on the ‘APP.’ Hum I wonder what’s that’s going to do for the sport.

Sky loved the Matchroom PPV golden era though

I agree it's niche. Most of the general population don't have a clue and don't follow it. But it's weird cause when someone like Joshua and Fury fights it suddenly becomes a popular sport for one weekend only a few times a year. But ask the same people who only watch those fights who Nick Ball is and they won't have heard of him.

Sad end of a 30-plus year history this. The weekly 'Ringside' program used to be outstanding. Paul Dempsey, Darke and McCrory doing the US PPVs together, the last years of Watt and Gutteridge as a double act. They really took British boxing to another level, building up the fights and adding production values ITV and the Beeb never did. It feels like when HBO dropped out of US boxing, An App with third rate Matchroom cheerleaders posing as pundits just doesn't compare.
