I don't think it's a bad strategy for Boxxer, they clearly can't compete at the highest level with MR and Queensbury. If their only real option is to cater for grass roots boxing and building future talent, then negotiating a BBC deal is probably the smartest move they could have made, certainly has more potential than Channel 5 if they play their cards right. I will be interested to see if Shalom is telling the truth saying they will be broadcasting on BBC1 before Match of the Day, or if it's actually just some 'red button' thing and hidden away.

It’ll be on BBC2 for the main event with the undercard on the iPlayer/online, I would think. I can’t see the BBC putting this on BBC1 on a Friday or Saturday night even for a world title fight.

No details yet on how much the deal is worth to Boxxer but I doubt it’ll be enough to keep a hold of it’s biggest names.

He’s a young bloke who started from scratch and has managed to persuade Sky and BBC to invest in him within 5 years. He’s trying something new, fair play to him.

I think he’s handling himself pretty well, especially as the new bezzies Hearn and Warren (who hated each other before Saudi money) gang up on him like playground kids.

I'll be honest, if all they show are British Title fights in the main with the odd European Belt thrown in, then I'll be happy.

British Title fights nearly always deliver.

British title fights are what I enjoy the most in Boxing. Don't get me wrong, a top tier fight for a world title will be levels above in terms of skill, but I'm to old to stay up and watch them these days if they are in the US, I'm also more reluctant to spend money on PPV's. Give me a British title fight in front of a lively British crowd at a reasonable hour any day.
