Big Abdul confirmed that Brook is going ahead as PPV in Oct, Fury v Clit will also be PPV in Nov and yes Sky intend to get Whyte v Joshua on PPV in December. This will be a record 5 boxing PPVs in the one year and only a boycott of PPVs can stop this shyte happening starting with Brook.
Blame the casuals, they make up the majority of PPV buys, they cant get enough of the sky hype machine.
Jesus! Didn't Eddie say it was only four a year? And now he does THREE IN THREE MONTHS!:roll: Give it 18 months and Eddie will have disappeared from British Boxing. By then, AJ would have moved on and Eddie will have made a mint from him. Kell will have probably lost and gone back to fighting nobodies. If nobody wants to know him when he's a major belt holder, what chance of landing meaningful fights if he doesn't have a strap? The Liverpool shows will be dead. Warrington will have lost by then. Same for Selby. This is the start of Eddie cashing-out, you watch. He has ONE superstar - And that's AJ. Sadly for Eddie, AJ is a smart kid. He'll get to a world title shot and then fob him off as what use will Eddie be by then? He CANNOT and WON'T bring other world class talent, so Josh will have to bring them in himself, and seeing as he'll be "The Man" it'll be easy. Either get used to your Sky bill being the highest it's ever been by this time next year or find out the results through social media etc. Because this won't stop unless you vote with your wallets! And besides, WHO THE F*CK will be headlining these shows next year if Kell and AJ don't? Callum Smith? Josh Warrington? Rocky Fielding? Anthony Crolla? British Boxing is dead as we know it, lads. You'll see.
If you don't want sky mugging you off and you're really only interested in watching boxing, then cancel your pointless sports subscriptions and get the pay-per-views. No charge for this money saving tip.
Boxing of this caliber should be f*cking included IN the subscription. Makes me laugh how we have to pay for a sport, that by, popularity and ratings, is very low on the agenda compared to Darts/Football etc. It'll be one a month next year, you watch. F*ck me are we in for a year of mismatches!
I've said it before, people with subscriptions should be exempt from having to cough up for ppv for what I will generously call 'mid-tier' events. That would seem fair to me. I agree paying out for weak ppv cards when you already have a subscription is taking the pi$$. I cancelled sky sports because they began to rotate the main events (be it football, cricket, tennis, whatever) across all their stupid sports channels, 1 thru 7 or however many they now have. The idea was to force the viewer into subscribing to even more sports channels. It was and is a nonsense - everything of real note could invariably chucked on sports 1. On point of principle I switched it off, it is nothing but a con. If anything I consider ppv the more honest and cleaner approach. If you don't like it, you really don't have to pay for it. Plus it is a fact that there are many fights that can only be made with this model- yes, even some fights that won't interest everyone that posts here.
That's just what Tyson had said he'd heard. Whereas Peter is still saying November, probably 28th. So no one has a clue at the moment. Think we'll know in the net few days. A postponement til Feb when it's a minor injury would be ridiculous.
Surely RTL have the final say over the TV date given they are paying millions to Wlad/K2 per fight? Sky haven't got anything on that weekend to my knowledge on Box Office so there shouldn't be an issue other than three PPVs in seven weeks.
