Sky need to come out and explain this Khan mess

Yeah the way they just ignore everything thats going on outside of sky is ridiculous

 

i heard that Sky had dumped the show onto Sky Sports3 although don't know the reason why. As of this moment, if you look forward on your Sky programming to Saturday night 9pm it says TBA. No doubt something will announced very soon.

 

Wait, it's no longer on sky?

 

I thought it was on Primetime now

 

have no knowledge of that yet but would make sense as Primetime are trying to push forward with bigger, better fights so its a possibility but as of right now, no other channels have notified via Sky programme schedule to be broadcasting the fight. Looked on both Khan's official page and his Twitter and nothing.

It's not a racial thing,nothing to do with the fact that Amir Khan is from P A K I S T A N I believe me and that his opponent is Irish.

Yeah it would be useful if Sky came out and gave us an explanation into the reasons why it won't be on SS3. Surely it has to be down to the Khan's wanting to squeeze out a bit of extra money on a ppv channel but it will come back to bite them if Sky refuse to show a Bradley fight subsequently. It would be nice if Smith could come out and talk about these two points and hopefully Sky don't adopt the usual stance of 'If it isn't on sky, it didn't happen'

they tried to renegotiate the deal with khan & primetime offered more money than sky were prepared to pay.

Amir Khan's upcoming defence of his WBA light-welterweight crown will not be shown on Sky Sports or Sky Box Office.

Khan, 24, is due to fight European champion Paul McCloskey on Saturday in Manchester.

But a spokesperson for Sky Sports confirmed: "Khan vs McCloskey will not be shown on Sky Box Office or any of the Sky Sports channels as it has not proved possible to reach an agreement on TV scheduling.

"Financial terms were agreed and a solution was offered for the fight to appear on Sky Sports 3 and Sky Sports HD3 following the decision not to broadcast on Sky Box Office. It was not accepted.

"The Khan vs McCloskey bill had been announced as a Sky Box Office event two months ago. Since then there were several changes to the bill so we made the decision - before the main promotional campaign started and Sky customers booked the event - to give it to Sky Sports viewers."
