Sky need to come out and explain this Khan mess

If it's true that Sky aren't interested in the Bradley fight, I doubt we'll see Khan fight on there again.

I imagine Sky was (and realistically still are) VERY interested in the Bradley fight until Khan threatened to take the McCloskey fight to another network. Seems like a pretty obviously bargaining chip to me

 

Well it's quite easy if people wanna hit him where it hurts and not order the fight. If enough people do buy then it proves he's ppv material. It really is that simple. We put the money in boxers pockets.

 

Would be class if sky put Berto vs Ortiz on instead, couldnt give a **** about the mccloskey fight anyway!

 

Either its true and sky arent that bothered about bradley/khan or khans team are absolute idiots (which i already know to be true). Sure help your family out but dont let them control your destiny in the words of Biggie "money and blood dont mix like two dicks and no *****, end up in serious ****"

Hopefully this helps encourage promoters to improve the quality of their undercards. I wouldnt be surprised if khan stays stateside from now on after this they seem to prefer him over there even if most of them just want to see him get k.o'd

 

There really does need to be a kind of revolution on the whole ppv thing. I think the Haye v Audley fight actually in the long term may have done some good, even if in the short term people felt robbed. I think it's opened peoples eyes a little. We have the power with regards to ppv buys. If the cards dont sell, they will simply have to scrap them.

If they are going to charge £15 for a card, you want a nights quality entertainment. Since many of us now have to tighten our belts and try to save money in a harsh economic reality, SKy cannot keep serving up a bull**** main event with a shitter than **** undercard.

The UFC has a decent model, and pack the card, giving you 3 hours of good fights with big names. The ppvs for boxing are ****ing ****, the undercards are often pathetic and after that you may get a main event which is a mismatch or doesnt go the distance. Atleast then pack the card with decent fighters as a fail safe for the main event.

The last HBO "Action Heros" card took a leaf out UFC's book. Back to back decent fights with recognised names, and match ups worthy of being a PPV. If sky are gonna make people part with their hard earned cash, it's not asking too much to offer up some quality entertainment.

Also Khan has missed a trick, with not having his fight on normal sky. How can he guarantee enough buys on Primetime? a channel the general public either do not have yet, may not even subscribe to let alone buy a ppv I think on the one hand I see where he is coming from, in trying to boost his income, but this could do some long term damage to his rep.
