definitely boycotting this now. watch the froch card. try and get a feed for khan and oscar fights. they repeat it on wednesday or thursday next week anyway.
Banks pulling out is a big blow. It's such short notice it's difficult to see who they can get in. I've never been one for the ppv's but this night was originally shaping up to be pretty good and a definite purchase. With Froch on ITV at the same time as the Excel card, however, and Pac-Oscar not starting until the early hours it's now more of a 50-50 call on whether Frank will get my cash.
There have been much bigger rip offs from Sky than this. The last one being a prime example. The undercard from Vegas is pretty good also. Jacobs looks a hell of a prospect to me so looking forward to seeing him again.
Not worth the PPV. Sky certainly do not provide value for money. Iv waited up and watched DLH's fights the last few years and they have always been a big disappointment. DLH vs Floyd - hyped and boring fight (thanks to Floyd running) DLH vs BHop - another big hype job..poor fight
I see why people disagree with my statement about me not thinking they are taking the **** because they are just trying to make as much money as they can like any other business. I think dubbing the Hatton card as Ricky and the prizefighters was probs silly as surely they couldve hyped Paulie better but if they made more money then fair enough. It's been 15 quid for as long as I can remember and I think it's one of the better cards. It would be nice if we would all boycott and they didn't charge and I'm sorry I wont be but I don't think you can say that they are taking the **** for this particular card. At least we arn't American and paying for most fights.
Have you seen how much the WWE ppvs cost I would pay 15 quid for just dlh v pac on its own Harrison and khan should be good for a laugh too
This man knows the score. I don't think it would have been peanuts to buy off HBO though. Still should be covered by the regular sky subs though. Irks me that my sky sports subs goes on loads of cricket, darts and **** but they charge boxing fans extra because we're mugs
Might end up buying it on the night, but definately is **** poor value for money. To people who say its always been £15 it was only last year that the biggest grossing PPV fight in the states ever, DLH v Mayweather wasnt PPV and that was a more competive looking fight than this one. Only difference is two domestic fighters Khan and Harrison and decent fighter Macca vs some chump, who were all fighting on ITV at the beginning of the year. To think what my £12 got me last month with Setanta.
Fair point, I see what people mean now about the difference of it being in America but I'm just as interested and I just see them as doing what they can get away with as they always have and always will, so will everyone else. The sales will dictate if they do similar things again. Personally I don't mind paying 15 quid for it and would to see Pac-DLH alone, good value or not, I'm sure I'll enjoy it.
