AJ needs to fight Fury and Wilder. We have a clear top 3 and it's unacceptable that they haven't all fought each other.

The HW division has been total crap for a while now.

The last 5-6 years have been disappointing.

The current top 5 have an average age of 32-33 now, and the only meaningful fights we had were Wilder vs Fury and AJ vs Ruiz Jr.

Genuinely skilled Young prospects have been ducked, as washed up 40 year olds have been chosen instead as mandatories as an easy option by certain champions.

There is now only 2-3 years left for this group to fight each other at the top before the younger generation steps in and steps up.

AJ not fighting either Wilder or Fury despite having 3-4 years to do so hurts this era.

It is difficult to judge this vs others. It is certainly better than the 1980s but it isn’t up to the best of the 1990s.

I think the transition from the current ageing generation to the next will be exciting and thrilling. It will also help us see where the current crop is at against other eras.

Yeah and repetition is fundament of business.

The biggest problems are not media companies or big promoters.
Everyone calculates ROI and risk/ reward almost like in long term white collar career job.

Okey, we do have some Chisora who does not cherry pick fights and looks that if paycheck is enough good for him, it is no problem to get fight vs him.
Unlike with xx highly ranked HW boxers.
Division is stagnant, partially geriatric and bunches with boxers from Klits& Pov era still are used today while Klits era had ended by modern criteria long ago.

The UK media is not pushing Taylor because of his racist past and associations with the EDL.

When a fat overweight short Mexican can have a real chance against any of the Top 5 it makes you question the quality of the current era....I have often said a fit Prime Tua would have had a lot of fun if he was around now.!!!!

    with short notice btw too.

    It is really funny division.
top boxers beat boxers already beated up by someone from Klits, Pov etc old era boxers.

Almost 0 new blood in top level, looks that we will not get Hunter vs Hrgovic this year?
Bunches with young or at least not too old boxers might fight more frequently etc.

What evidence do you have that Wilder is Top 3??

I think a number of Top 10 HWs may beat him. So yes - this era needs a lot more matchups to make it a great era.

Of course, bunches with boxers should be put on larger events and they should fight more frequently.
Damn, when Klits era had ended, everyone had assumed that now division will be more dynamic, with more fights at top 15, top 50 level etc things.
Facts: even before covid they fought not often! Like if 2 fights per 1 year, even this was very good miracle.
Worse: bunches with boxers continued and continue to use the same:nonono:( opponents from Klit era ( this era is by modern criteria history not current life ).
Klit like Wlad at least had beat 12 undefeated boxers and bunch with them are used today.
The same with Povs and Vitali opponents etc. I don't mean only Klits or Pov opponents here.
    Division is not enough active!

Wilder has been top 3 for a long time based on winning and successfully defending the WBC belt a number of times.

Only Tyson Fury who is now the accepted division number 1 has beaten him, and part of his number 1 rating is off the back of him beating Wilder and having that prestigious WBC belt.

All of that is not to say that I think Wilder's opposition has been great. His stand out win is over Luis Ortiz. He should be given credit for fighting Fury even if it may have only been done because he thought he was too fat and inactive to stand a chance against him

It’s overblown, can’t find anything on EDL which means that part is a lie, because if true would be simple to find.

The alleged racist thing is he said to a Indian looking bouncer that throw him out a nightclub
“You are a **** doorman, you can’t fight for real, your nose ring is gay, you are a gay looking ****, you big orange looking ****.”
You could say big orange etc to anyone using fake tan, so think that is reaching when it comes to racism. The bouncer was not gay either, so do not see why that mattered. He was fined £350.00 for that though, but did meet the bouncer and apologised which the bouncer accepted.

Sports in general are trying to sell the fans that what you're watching is the greatest there's ever been to drum up ratings. Jim Brown was doing commentary for CBS many years ago and was eventually let go,why? because when he saw inferior football he called it out. He said later he was told not to disparage the play on the field it'll hurt ratings. The heavyweight division is an example of this, B level fighters being called superstars

    Looks like casual drunk talk.
I had been told that I will be killed next moment and big difference that If I had assumed that threat is real I might had used CCW.
    A lot of things.

    _________
So you think there is no ground that he migh be racism supporter cos his posts in profiles and interviews?
Boxer should beat in the ring and I do not follow casual daily posts in their ( boxers ) profiles etc too much.
