is it only me that thinks friday fight night is crap main fight is crap nowdays and got a s##t under card and poor production for the last couple of weeks its been so boring...........its a sad time for boxing!
I think the ITV4 Hennessey shows **** over Sky's Friday Fight Night. ITV have far better commentators and cover it really well with the background pieces, build-up, roving reporter etc.
The fact Sky are only prepared to give it a two hour speaks realms about their commitment to the domestic boxing scene.
Plus Warren made a good point in his interview that Sky should move it to a Saturday night slot to better facilitate the fans who want to attend etc...
:good Agreed. Every now and then FFN pulls out a good show but it is a rareity. Contrast that with the Hennessey shows and for me, Mick smashes it!
The undercards are shockingly bad these days soon as the main event is over i just turn over these days
dont get me started on the undercards they dont give you any info on who is fighting if they dont bother why shoud i bother watchin them...for instance a couple of weeks ago they had 3 brothers on the undercard i cant rember there names but thay all one if they did a 15 minute or even 10 minutes clip of them like were there from and there story id probly remeber them..
Not much room for debate with that....FFN is shite... they should give the am's more exposure if they are going to turn out a **** poor undercard... this is an excellent opportunity to bring the pro's and the am's closer together IMO :yep
yeh the friday fight night format has become stale. we need a mix between the ITV4 and Setanta coverage, with the slickness of Skys. So you would have 2 fights leading up to the main event, and then highlights of the under card if others finish slowly. Then have the input from the fans by having a journalist like Buncey in the show reading out emails and starting discussions on boxing in general not just the fights, and then you need to have Adam Smith doing more in depth build up into the fighters. Hopefully if Hennesey and Hayemaker end up moving to Sky, along with Hatton, Warren and Maloney, there will only be a certain amount of dates avalible. In a perfect world we would get Tuesday and Friday night boxing and a big world title fight on a saturday either prime time or late in the evening.
