Yep. After six rounds I posted "It'll be sad when Ryder gets done on the cards." We're all expecting and almost accepting this corrupt home fighter scoring. Unless there's a major backlash, nothing will change. It's a proper cowboy sport boxing. The best and worst sport in the world.

Sky have always been a sham in terms of their bias but I'm just after watching the fight again and no way is all the crying justified. The scorecards being disgustingly wide yes but a total robbery? No way, I had it a draw and there were so many close rounds as you said.

Ha! She’s just kept talking about how he isn’t popular and only throws 6 pitter patter jabs a round.

I don’t see how there won’t be a rematch given the reaction to this fight. Surely has to happen again.

I do not understand really, surely if you are going to job the cards you would make it a draw, SD or MD. For me it was the margin of the scores as you could have maybe argued an SD for Smith or Ryder either way more effectively than a 117-111 Terry O'Connor special. I have watched a lot of live boxing agree with @Scissors you sometimes see things differently in the arena than you do at home on the TV. There all sorts of things that influence judges from the viewing angle, crowd, managers, promoters even the local mafia. Terry O'Connor has such a long and illustrious career of bizarre scoring, to give McDermott the decision against Fury 92-98 when he was stood in the ring the whole fight was an utter disgrace and you can only say he is completely incompetent or was too scared to give McDermott the win. There needs to be some retrospective scoring for fights like these, the WBO have re-scored fights with independent judges (Pacquiao-Horn). The BBBoC need to step in and order some sort of enquiry but I suspect they are also on the payroll. The WBA should order an immediate rematch. What the hell was Hearn on about after the fight 'I'll speak to the WBA and get you a shot at the 'regular title', how about you speak to the WBA and arrange an immediate rematch. Hearns seemed to be the only one who was happy with the scores post fight and was playing his role ice cool.

Of course Hearn is happy with what’s happened, he wanted Callum to win and preferably ugly. He now has 2 of his fighters who Canelo would love to fight next on their last performances and that’s the perfect scenario. Hearn is a promoter like any other promoter, he’s not a fan like us, his interests are big fights for his fighters. Hearn will be devastated if there’s an immediate rematch.

All spot on except Hearn looked embarrassed and not as smooth as his normally does
On SKY and IFL afterwards he looked shook and lost for a decent reasoning

Just watched the fight (some rounds I watched twice, some I watched 3 times) and yeah, Ryder won that. Definite robbery, there should be a rematch.

    Round 1. Ryder 10-9
    Round 2. Smith 10-9
    Round 3. Smith 10-9
    Round 4. Ryder 10-9
    Round 5. Ryder 10-9
    Round 6. Smith 10-9
    Round 7. Ryder 10-9
    Round 8. Ryder 10-9
    Round 9. Smith 10-9
    Round 10. Ryder 10-9
    Round 11. Ryder 10-9
    Round 12. Ryder 10-9

    Ryder 116-112.

Aside from you having Ryder taking the 1st, scored it the same.

Yup and that was close too. Gave it to him because he landed the better work.

Deep down he had Ryder winning. He started giving rounds to Smith towards the end that he shouldn't have so Eddie wouldn't tell him off.
