Sky Sports P4P Lists

I would hardly say nuthugger - Johnny was the only person throughout the Sky Sports build up that was thinking rationally.

'I hope so' and 'He faces a massive task' and 'If he pulls this off he will certainly be ranked No. 1 in the British all time rankings' were certainly better than statements made by the likes of David Haye and Enzo Maccarinelli - who both predicted wins for the Hitman.

Nelson could be interpreted as racist by some (not me) for comments made within his book and, although this cannot be proven, his scoring of fights, which always show the black fighter in front, unless he is receiving a schooling.

 

Were they blindfolded and did they pick the names out of a hat to make those p4p lists. Truely astonishing. It's as if they don't know anything about boxing.

 

He is a nuthugger, even when floyds not fighting he manages to bring him up and talk about how great he is, i dont think floyd even knows who the hell nelson is.

 

Everybody knows who Johnny Nelson is - for his shockers against Carlos de Leon and James Warring.

The only time I detected a bit of hugging was after Cotto chinned tomato can Gomez, offering the thought that the win wasn't all that, and did nothing to prove that he had the ability to beat Mayweather.

To be honest, I totally agreed - it was the wins over Judah and Mosley which grabbed my attention. Beating some chump in five rounds doesn't mean **** to me, nor to those in the know!

Especially bearing in mind the fact that he should have blown him away in 1, but chose to take the **** switch hitting and practicing his footwork.

 

Please don't bring up Nelson-De Leon. I'd rather eat my gentleman vegetables than have to watch that fight again.

 

Glenn McCrory blows smoke up Pavlik's ass constantly, whilst Johnny Nelson doesn't rate Cotto too much

I think they should be switched around, Pavlik is lower end of the top 10, Cotto is definitely top 5 - with only Pacman, Calzaghe and Vasquez definitely in front of him on my list.

 

Each to their own - the whole P4P is purely objective anyway.

I expected a load of **** from Nelson but Big glen I would have thought he would have cotto higher than Pavlik. You can not blame him for putting Hatton in he is a brit and imo he is top 10 any way. Valero and DLH are a bit of a shock but hey each to there own.

Nelson scored the fight for Williams 116-112, I was the complete reverse - and even the most ardent nuthugger must admit that he lost that fight, surely!

If anyone gives DLH less than four rounds in the Mayweather fight they clearly know jack **** about the game, full stop.

I am undecided as to whether he is indeed racist - perhaps if Glenn McCrory or Nicky Piper were as anti-black as he is anti-white (seemingly anyway) they would be booted off the telly for good.

 

Yeah I remember that he said floyd would massacre Cotto. But Johnny Nelson is the cruiserweight equivelent of junior witter.

I would back Mayweather to beat Cotto - though it would be an excellent battle.

Nelson was slightly better to watch than Witter is (later in his career) - Junior is really painful.

Witter could also be considered racist - he said the main reason why Hatton was so popular with the media and in the mainstream was because he is a white, working class citizen.
