I generally try to defend Shalom and Boxxer as I believe it's imperative to the survival of boxing being mainstream in the UK that whoever is on Sky needs to be doing well, like it or not it is by far the biggest sporting platform in the UK. But, if this is true its a shockingly bad move. Maybe he doesn't have a big social media following or what ever it is that ticks the boxes for promoters these days but the reality is that if all under cards had 2 or 3 'Eggington' style trading leather Wars on boxing would be a better sport to follow. We often hear cynically 'its not a sport anymore, its the entertainment industry' maybe, but if so, fighters like this guy are the entertainment that fans want to see as opossed to one sided mismatches protecting up and comers that we get now. I say 'but if this is true', it may well be, but I'm also hesitant to be 100% as its also clear as day there is a hatchet job being done on Boxxer & Shalom by certain social media channels who quite clearly are in bed with other promoters. Hard to know what to believe at times, but certainly Boxxer don't help themselves sometimes do they!
