I doubt it. The WWE tries to do stuff like that with areans but most people just ignore it. WWE is not exactly in a position to dictate terms to Sky either.

The last time the WWE and Sky had a standoff (2002 I remember) Sky just pulled the disputed programming and let the WWE stew in its own juices for a few weeks. The WWE has nowhere good to go if they lost Sky and they know it.

Now I'm sure the WWE has been lobbying to keep the UFC off Sky...its an open secret that the WWE is badmouthing the UFC to all its broadcast partner in Europe. I think McMahon has learnt his lesson from when he let The Ultimate Fighter debut straight after RAW lol

Dont see what the problem is. Do premiership fans get jealous when they start showing la liga?
The way boxing people try to be little UFC is pathetic. I hardly watch UFC as I dont find it that entertaining, however boxing could learn A LOT from UFC including putting on a show, weight divisions, one champion and the fitness of UFC atheletes and sports sceience that is used absolutely shames boxing.

UFC has one world champion, but MMA doesn't. Technically UFC is one of many governing bodies in the sport (Strikeforce being one other), the big difference being that in MMA the body is also the promoter, so you'll never see world titles unified.

I really don't think Sky showing ultimate Fighter s screwing boxing fans. It's something else they've picked up which will fll time normally taken up by a repeat of an earlier sporting event, or one of the more obscure programmes like Ocean World or World Poker

    Excellent post!!!

It really p's me off when people come out with that comment assuming that the UFC is MMA. It is one promotional banner.

For the record I enjoy boxing and MMA. I'm pretty obsessed with boxing and it certainly take presedence but I enjoy both and they can both survive side by side in my book.

It's good in the sense that there will be more MMA on TV I suppose. Shame The Ultimate Fighter is a load of shite. However it's an excellent business decision by the UFC.

I doubt it will affect boxing in any way.

I dont think ESPN will be happy it went to Sky. As they have the rights to all of the UFC PPVs until the end of 2011. For it to go to there rival is a bit weird.
