Documentary on Luke Campbell looks a good watch. Class act Campbell in and out the ring had some hard times as a amatuer and shown some serious grit. Im also happy they have done this on Campbell and not Joshua as i feel Campbell is our only true Golden boy

Johnny Nelson said it made him cry, so it could be a very good watch, we all know he has been through a lot in recent times and lets just hope he achieves everything he wants to within boxing.

Nonsense, De La Hoya is the original golden boy and this fellow isn't and won't ever be a fraction as good as ODLH. To call him that is remarkably cheap.

I think it's appropriate given he won an Olympic gold medal

Who is using the nickname as a comparison? He has a gold medal same as ODLH.

Campbell has never used golden boy as a nickname he goes by coolhand luke. This titlle has obviously been given by sky. But as stated above its fully appropriate given he won and fully deserved to win a olympic gold medal

Would you rather they called it

"The boy who won first prize at the Olympics same as Oscar De La Hoya"

No, the title has already been used by one of boxing's Greats. Using it again is lame and will end up looking like a cheap imitation. There are plenty of other things to go by that imply the winning of a gold medal.

It's the name of a documentary ffs. He's not using it as his boxing alias. He won an Olympic gold so it's a perfect choice. What would you use for the name of the documentary?

Correct it has been used already , as has "sugar" but that didnt / doesn't cheapen it .... At all..

In fact if you was to only use a ring name (which isn't what he's doing) that has never been used before then you'd be hard pushed..

Frankly ,if you've the skills it shouldn't matter what his name is..
And also owing to the fact that strictly speaking , he is "a golden boy" if he chose that as his ring moniker he'd have every right... Just as he has the right to wear gold trim shorts as he does without cheapening it, he is after all britains most sucsessful amatuer , yes he's britains golden boy!
