But he wasnt using PPVs and extreme ticket prices as a way to pay them. Haymon didnt rip off the fans he tried to monopolise the sport.
It's a question I'm asking as fan, not from a business point of view. Surely a boxing fan forum is the right place to discuss value for money ect. From a business point of view floyd v mcgregor is going to be the most lucrative fight ever but it's a joke of a fight.
Well, it won't be the most lucrative fight ever but it will be up there. It is the correct place just annoying when peopl get on their high horse calling people mugs for people spending loose change on PPV.
Fair enough, I wouldn't call anyone a mug for it mate. I've bought a lot off these Ppv's. I was just interested if people shared my opinion really. Been a fan so long think I'm just at a stage where I want to see more good fights (ward v kovalev, smith v Williams, brook v Spence ect) rather than fights that are just hype (Joshua v Molina, Martin and breazeale, haye v bellew)
It's always been hype. Remember when Mike Tyson came here to fight. Loads of hype but look who he fought? The thing is it didn't matter as people just wanted to see Tyson. The sport will still deliver the fights you want to see but with that comes somewhere fights personally you don't want.
Great fight. Battle of Liverpool. Bragging rights! These guys really do not like each other, whoever lands first wins.
